Gavin Newsom rage baits Trump by hailing Joe Biden as 'best president'
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: California Governor Gavin Newsom has intensified his ongoing trolling of President Trump.
Using his press office’s social media account, Newsom has repeatedly mocked Trump in recent months, continuing a pattern that began following his deployment of National Guard troops to Los Angeles.
Most recently, the press office targeted the president with satirical commentary surrounding his health.
Gavin Newsom’s satirical attack on Donald Trump’s health
On Saturday, December 7, the Governor Newsom Press Office posted an image of former President Joe Biden with the text, “The Best President in Modern American History,” accompanied by the caption “TRUE.”
This move follows a series of posts seemingly aimed at mocking Trump. Last week, the account highlighted a memo released by the White House, which revealed that Trump had undergone an MRI in October as part of preventative screening for men of his age.
The memo, released by physician Sean Barbabella, stated that Trump’s physical exam included “advanced imaging” that is “standard for an executive physical” and concluded that his cardiovascular and abdominal imaging results were “perfectly normal.”
Newsom’s office responded with a satirical press release written under the pseudonym “Dr Dolittle,” referencing the fictional doctor who could talk to animals.

The release described Newsom as “the healthiest human currently alive or recorded in medical history.”
The letter exaggerated Newsom’s health with playful comparisons: his bone density was likened to a “redwood tree,” his heart rate appeared as if he were “meditating or just naturally enlightened,” and his cardiovascular scans were called “the best we’ve ever.”
The satire extended to Trump, with the letter noting activities during his first year back in office that could suggest ill health, despite repeated claims of being in excellent condition.
Donald Trump’s MRI part of routine physical examination
The White House issued Barbabella’s memo after Trump stated he would release his MRI results, “If you want to have it released, I’ll release it" during an exchange with reporters.
Both the president and the White House characterized the scan as part of a “routine physical examination,” though they initially declined to detail why the MRI was conducted or what part of his body it concerned.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “I think that’s quite a bit of detail,” when announcing the release.
Trump himself commented that the MRI results were “perfect,” though he admitted uncertainty about which body part was scanned, adding, “It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it.”
Physicians usually recommend an MRI to investigate specific symptoms or track existing health conditions, while "preventive" cardiac and abdominal MRIs are not standard practice in routine screenings.
Executive physicals, as described in the memo, often include non-routine tests such as MRIs.
