During the interview, Goldstein shared how he wrote the new Netflix movie with Lopez “in mind” and he’s “always been a fan, famously, of” the 56-year-old actress.
King then remarked, “You're very good at manifesting,” to which the 45-year-old actor joked that he was writing a movie for her.
The 71-year-old host excitedly asked, “Do I fall in love with Tom Brady? No, does he fall in love with me?” before adding that the football legend’s “one of the nicest people.”

Elsewhere during the conversation, King also mentioned she loves the “chemistry on and off the camera” between Lopez and the ‘Ted Lasso’ star.
“If it does turn out to be something, I would like to be included in whatever future plans you have. Birthday parties, engagement parties, weddings, just throwing it out there,” she remarked.
To which, Goldstein said, “Please invite us to the Tom and Gayle wedding,” as King replied, “Can you let him know? He's not aware. He's not aware of any of this.”
Gayle King caught her ex-husband with her friend
This came just days after the broadcast journalist opened up about her troubled marriage with ex-husband William Bumpus. The two were married from 1982 to 1993.
On Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast in late May, King disclosed that she found Bumpus with her friend at her home.
She recalled telling the woman, “‘I can’t believe that you are here and that you are doing this. I can’t believe that you are doing this.’ And I even said, ‘I thought we were friends!’ It sounded so pitiful.”

Following her revelation, King’s former husband Bumpus shared an apology, saying, “My deepest apologies to Gayle, to our daughter Kirby and her husband, Virgil, to our son William and his wife, Elise, and to our three grandchildren, for the pain I caused decades ago. Those actions were mine. I have long owned them — including publicly in my own words in 2016, which still stand.”
“Gayle has every right to share what was a painful chapter that changed the trajectory of our marriage and our family nearly forty years ago. I respect her right to tell her story, and that’s where I’ll leave it,” he added.
