George Clooney stars in new Nespresso ads

In the new ad, the 'Solaris' actor can be seen tasked with tracking down a group of Nespresso pod thieves, which leads him to investigate Eva Longoria, Camille Cottin, and Kim Go Eun, per the outlet.

Clooney raved that "shooting with Nespresso is always a great time" while speaking about making the whodunnit mystery campaign.

He said in a statement, "This particular campaign was unbelievably fun because of the script and the cast. This was my first time working with my long-time friend Eva, who made the perfect culinary duo with Kim trying to deceive me."

The 63-year-old actor added, "They both brought such a vibrant energy to set and worked so seamlessly together. It was also wonderful to be reunited with Camille. She always brings a touch of sophistication, which was perfect for this role."

Meanwhile, Longoria said, "Nespresso campaigns are always iconic because of the casting."

The 'Desperate Housewives' star added, "I’m thrilled that I’m now part of the family. Shooting the campaign was such a fun experience because of how light and comedic the script was, as well as the rapport that we all had working alongside each other."

She stated, "I’ve known George for a long time, but this was our first time working on a project together, and it was such a pleasure being on set with him, Kim, and Camille."

A person also stated, "Thought it as Arthur Daley," whereas one mentioned, "Thought it was Omar Sharrif."

A user also wrote, "What’s with the mask? And why are they saying no, when the director tells cut?" while one commented, "Clooney in any situation is good but is Nespresso getting desperate?"

George Clooney and wife Amal face long separation

The advertisement comes even as George and Amal Clooney prepare for an extended separation with the actor heading to New York City to make his Broadway debut in 'Good Night, and Good Luck'.

The 'Batman and Robin' actor seems excited about his first foray into Broadway even though it will keep him away from his family for six months.

Moreover, Amal and their seven-year-old twins - Alexander and Ella, will remain at their estate in France where the children are settled in school and enjoy privacy.

An insider told Life & Style, "George has never done Broadway before, and he’s thrilled about the opportunity, but between rehearsals and performances, it means he will spend six months in NYC."

The source added, "Amal is going to remain in France, where their two children are settled in — and there’s no denying this is going to test their 10-year marriage."

Interestingly, the couple has decided to test out a long-distance setup for the next six months.

An insider told the outlet, "They’re going to stay in touch over FaceTime and text. George will be able to speak to the kids every night before bedtime, taking the time difference into consideration. And Amal might be able to fly out for the occasional weekend visit."
