LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Despite not being a couple, Gigi Hadid has offered her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik a shoulder to lean on following the death of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.

According to a Page Six source, the supermodel has reportedly inquired about her ex-boyfriend in the wake of the untimely death of his former One Direction bandmate.

“Gigi reached out to Zayn to offer her condolences after Liam’s passing,” revealed the insider.

Gigi Hadid "offered her support" to Zayn Malik after Liam Payne's untimely death. The late singer died on October 16 after falling from the balcony of his Buenos Aires, Argentina, hotel room.

Malik attended his funeral on Wednesday, November 20, along with former bandmates Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles. They were seen together for the first time in almost nine years.

The model "was there to listen and offered her support if Zayn needed anything at all or just wanted to talk," the insider said.

"Gigi and Zayn have had their ups and downs over the years but they’ve come a long way and are on much better terms. Their main focus is on co-parenting Khai and they have been able to get along well," the source added.

Hadid and Malik welcomed their daughter, Khai, into the world in September 2020. They had been dating intermittently since 2015.

The former couple "spend time together with their daughter including her fourth birthday this past September," the insider said.

Malik and his former bandmates paid their respects in somber black suits at Payne's funeral earlier this week in England's Home Counties.

The source added, "They just want what’s best for their daughter and they’re able to put any differences aside that they’ve had in the past and come together on the same page."

Hadid ignited rumors of a romance with actor Bradley Cooper in 2023. "They are getting more and more serious. Gigi's been spending time in Philadelphia with Bradley too," an insider told Harpar's Bazaar in December 2023.

The source added, "They were pretty low-key when they were in town recently and had a date night in a private room at a local restaurant."

"They were quietly dating for much longer before it went public and were very hush-hush, trying to see if things would work between them. They had several months together privately and things have been going really well," the source said.
