Dick Van Dyke’s fellow gym-goers concerned over his approach to staying healthy

Dick Van Dyke’s recent reveal about his approach to staying healthy has raised some eyebrows among fellow gym-goers at his LA fitness center.
According to Radar Online, gym regulars are witnessing the 99-year-old star's unique fitness routine, where he “literally” dances between weight machines instead of walking.
One insider expressed concern over it and said, “It’s too much for a guy of his age. He’s going to have a heart attack and keel over.”
They added, “Sure, we all want to bathe in the fountain of youth, but at this rate, Dick’s going to be face down in it. He needs to slow down.”
On the personal front, Van Dyke has had a tough start to the new year, facing the devastating effects of LA wildfires, however, he’s pushing forward with resilience and determination.

A source told CloserWeekly, “He’s defying the odds, and everyone around him is in awe. He’s always had a gift for looking on the bright side even when things were bleak.”
After the harrowing experience, Van Dyke is focused on counting his blessings and looking forward to his 99th year, reflecting on what’s ahead.
The insider added, “His wife, Arlene, is caring for him, but he’s doing pretty well by himself. It’s true he’s had some scary times – remember he had to evacuate in December during the Franklin fire and completely exhausted himself – but he’s stronger than people know, and he wants to stay put in Malibu, and thankfully he’s got Arlene to help him up when needed.”
Dick Van Dyke credits regular workouts for keeping him in good health
In a recent episode of Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen's podcast, ‘Where Everybody Knows Your Name’, Dick Van Dyke opened up about his workout routine. Reflecting on his nearly 100 years, he remarked, “I go back to 1925, I’m almost 100. This is insane.”
When asked about the secret to his longevity and good health, Van Dyke credited his commitment to exercise, saying, “Somebody said, ‘To what do you attribute your age and physical condition?’ and I said, ‘I’ve always exercised.’”
He went on to emphasize, “Three days a week, we go to the gym, still. Three days a week. And I think that is it.”
Then, Ted Danson recalled seeing Van Dyke in a Malibu gym, where he’d often spot him using weight machines.
Danson humorously noted, “If I got there early enough, I’d see you working out on some machine. Then, almost like you were doing circuit training, instead of walking to the next one, you danced—literally danced to the next machine, and I watched that for a couple of weeks.”
Van Dyke also shared that he does “a lot of stretching and yoga” to stay in shape.
“I’m doing a lot of stretching and yoga-type things. Sit-ups. And they have machines, something for almost every exercise,” Van Dyke stated.
