NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who gained notoriety for her role in the infamous case surrounding her mother’s death, is now preparing for a new chapter in her life.

Expecting a baby girl in just a few months, Blanchard, 33, recently opened up about her living arrangements and the challenges she faces while on parole during an episode of 'The Viall Files' podcast.

Due to the restrictions of her parole, Gypsy Rose Blanchard will not be able to live with her boyfriend Ken Urker when their daughter is born. Instead, she will reside with her parents, Rod and stepmother Kristy Blanchard in Louisiana, reported People

“So I am still living with my parents in Cut Off, which is an hour away from [Urker],” Blanchard explained, before adding that her father's home will be her primary residence until she completes her parole in 2025.

Blanchard reflected on how they are planning to handle the early stages of co-parenting while living apart.

“We’re like, okay, how is this gonna work whenever the baby’s born? Like, how many days could I spend with you, and how many days can you spend with me?” she continued.

“You know, who will she be with? As, you know, we’re going back and forth, and we’re doing kind of essentially co-parenting even though we are together.”

Blanchard, who was released on parole from the Chillicothe Correctional Center on December 28, 2023, after completing 85% of her 10-year sentence, faces several other restrictions as part of her parole.

Firslty, she was required to move out of Missouri for her safety. Secondly, Blanchard is prohibited from communicating with her ex-boyfriend Nick Godejohn.

Lastly, she is also not allowed to have any contact with inmates from the prison where she was held.

When asked about her parole conditions by host Nick Viall, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard shared that she has the “standard” restrictions, which include establishing her primary residence with her parents.

While this poses challenges, she emphasized that they are navigating this situation thoughtfully, despite having just reconnected after a five-year separation.

“This is a new relationship in a sense,” Blanchard explained.

“Even though we have a history behind our relationship and a foundation, we’re just getting back together after a 5-year separation,” she added.

She acknowledged that they had to discuss serious topics early in their renewed relationship, including their parenting goals and thoughts on their future.

“Those are all really significant conversations that couples usually have well into a year of their relationship. And here we are, a month in, and we’re already pregnant,” Blanchard added.

Although the couple has considered the idea of marriage, Blanchard revealed that it’s not something she’s rushing into, especially while finalizing her divorce from ex-husband Ryan Anderson.

“We talk about it for sure,” Urker commented during the podcast.

Blanchard agreed but noted, “He has his own life. And if he wants to marry me, he will propose. He will make his own decisions based on what he wants to do. So I don’t put my input in.”

For those in the dark, Blanchard and Urker were previously engaged but ended their relationship in 2019 while she was still incarcerated.

The couple had been together for two years during Blanchard's prison sentence for her involvement in the 2015 murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard.
