LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rapper Drake was at the receiving end of social media users as they criticized him for referencing 'Stranger Things' star Millie Bobby Brown in his latest diss track, 'The Heart Part 6'.

Reports suggest that the track is a direct response to fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar's diss track 'Not Like Us' where he accused the 'One Dance' rapper of pursuing underage girls.

Drake replies to Kendrick Lamar's diss track 'Not Like Us'

The ongoing feud between Drake and Lamar took a new turn on May 5, according to Variety Magazine, with Drake's release of his latest track, 'The Heart Part 6', in response to Lamar's 'Not Like Us'.

However, Drake's mention of his longtime friend Brown in the track has stirred controversy on social media.

In 'Not Like Us', Lamar didn't directly refer to Brown. Yet, he hinted at Drake's involvement with young girls, echoing accusations that surfaced when Drake's friendship with Brown became public.

Lamar's lyrics stated, “Say, Drake, I hear you like 'em young."

Drake addressed this in 'The Heart Part 6' with the lyrics, "Only f**kin' with Whitney's, not Millie Bobby Brown's, I'd never look twice at no teenager. I never been with no one under age but now I understand why this the angle that you really mess with, Just for clarity, I feel disgusted."

Drake and Millie Bobby Brown's controversial friendship

Drake and Brown, despite their 17-year age difference, first met in 2017. At the time, Brown, then 14 years old, disclosed that they exchanged text messages regularly.

In 2018, Brown shared in an interview with W Magazine that Drake, then 31, had invited her to his concert in Australia the previous year. She described their friendship as close, saying, "He was such a fanboy and I was such a fangirl! Honestly, we text all the time now."

Their friendship faced scrutiny after Brown revealed their text exchanges.

As per People Magazine, Drake responded to the criticism in his 2017 track 'Another Late Night', where he addressed trolls in the lyrics, "Weirdos in my comments talkin’ ‘bout some Millie Bobby, look, Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin, Or send a finger to your mama in some FedEx boxes, Open up that s**t, it’s jaw droppin’, really shocking."

In 2018, Brown took to social media to address the criticism directly, writing, "Why u gotta make a lovely friendship ur headline? U guys are weird."
