LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It is certainly a great time to be a rap music cognoscente as Kendrick Lamar has further fuelled his ongoing beef with fellow singer Drake, thus setting a visual treat for the fans in the days to come.

The war of words reached a new height on Friday night, May 3, when 'Like That' rapper posted a diss song, titled 'Meet the Grahams', half an hour after Drake dropped his ‘Family Matters' diss record.

The album cover for the 36-year-old's diss record featured several interesting items, including receipts for Drake’s prescription for Ozempic, a weight loss drug which is widely used by Hollywood celebs in recent times, Brobible reports.

How did Kendrick Lamar obtain Drake's Ozempic prescription?

According to DJ Akademiks, the items posted by Kendrick were reportedly purloined from Drake's father, although it's unclear how the former got hold of them.

"This cover art is, contains things that is from Drake’s pop’s suitcase. So Drake’s pop’s suitcase had these things in it. Don’t know how he got a hold of it. Don’t know how this happened to get into Kendrick’s hand but apparently Kendrick Lamar must have got a hold of Drake’s dad’s suitcase, so we’re talking about Dennis Graham, which is Drake’s pops. Wow! Wow! Remember all that talk about leaks in the camp?" DJ Akademiks said, per the outlet.

Drake was the first to start a feud with Kendrick Lamar

Drake was first up with 'Family Matters', where things take a very personal turn. “You mentioned my seed now deal with his dad,” the Toronto native began on his seven-minute track, according to Variety. “I gotta go bad, I gotta go bad.”

Among the numerous jabs he shot at Lamar, he aimed at his foe and his relationship with his fiancee Whitney Alford.

“Don’t even go back to your hood and plant no money trees,” he stated, referring to Lamar’s 'Money Trees' that came out in 2012.

“Say you hate the girls I f**k but what you really mean / I been with Black and white and everything in between / You the Black messiah wifing up a mixed queen / And hit vanilla cream to help out with your self-esteem,” read Drake's lyrics.

Things get even more personal with the mention of their children, which Lamar previously brought up on last week’s diss track 'Euphoria'. “Why you never hold your son and tell him say cheese / We could have left the kids out of this don’t blame me,” Drake stated.

He suggested that one of Lamar’s two children, a son and a daughter, was actually fathered by Dave Free, who has been a creative partner to Lamar for years.

Lamar also didn't want to be left behind in the rivalry as he took matters into his own hands on 'Meet the Grahams', with each verse being addressed directly at Drake’s family members including his son Adonis, mother Sandra, father Dennis, and apparently a daughter that Drake has never addressed.

“Dear Adonis, I’m sorry that that man is your father, let me be honest It takes a man to be a man, your dad is not responsive,” he began. "I look at him and wish your grandpa woulda wore a c*****m / I’m sorry that you gotta grow up and then stand behind him.”

His second verse talks to his mother and father. “Dear Sandra, your son got some habits, I hope you don’t undermine them / Especially with all the girls that’s hurt inside this climate.” Lamar then moved on to his father, who he stated “gave birth to a master manipulator” and claimed that he “raised a horrible f****n' person.”

At last, he addressed a “baby girl” that he implies Drake had and has kept secret. “Should be teachin’ you timetables or watchin’ ‘Frozen’ with you / Or at your eleventh birthday, singin’ poems with you / Instead, he be in Turks, payin’ for s*x and poppin’ Percs.”

Hollywood and its Ozempic obsession

The usage of weight-loss drugs, especially Ozempic, has blown through the roof in the past year as several prominent figures have come forward and confessed to using it in shedding their weight.

Names such as Oprah Winfrey, Amy Schumer, Sharon Osbourne, Chelsea Handler, and Remi Bader are just a few who have credited the type 2 diabetes drug in their weight loss journey.

Similar drugs like Mounjaro, approved for diabetes, and Zepbound, approved for obesity, both made by Eli Lilly, are also in talks, reports Today.

Winfrey confessed to taking a weight loss drug but didn't specify which one during an interview with People in December 2023. “I now use it as I feel I need it, as a tool to manage not yo-yoing,” she said. The star further added that the drug helps her maintain a healthy weight.

“The fact that there’s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for. I’m absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself,” she said.

While chatting with Andy Cohen in June last year, the 'I Feel Pretty' star, Amy Schumer, confirmed that she did try Ozempic "like a year ago" but quickly stopped due to the side effects.

“I was one of the people that felt like sick, I couldn’t like play with my son,” she said during an episode of 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen'.

Schumer said it wasn't worth it to continue taking the drug despite the results she began to see. “You’re like, ‘OK, this isn’t livable for me,’ but I immediately invested because I’m like, ‘Everyone and their mom is going to try it,’” she said, per Today.

As for Sharon Osbourne, the 71-year-old has been open about her weight struggles over the years and recently revealed that she had taken Ozempic to help manage her weight. However, she felt she lost too much weight and didn't want to continue the medication.

“I lost 42 pounds now and it’s just enough,” she said during an episode of Piers Morgan’s podcast, per E! news.

“I didn’t actually want to go this thin, but it just happened and I’ll probably put it all on again soon,” she added, and said she experienced nausea as a side effect.

“You don’t throw up physically but you’ve got that feeling," she explained. "I was about two, three weeks where I felt nauseous the whole time. You get very thirsty and you don’t want to eat. That’s it.”

Meanwhile, Remi Bader's doctor recommended that she try Ozempic when she was pre-diabetic and gaining weight in 2020. “They said I need this. And I had a lot of mixed feelings,” she told People in January 2023. “A few months later, I went off it and got into the bad binging.”

“It was making me think I wasn’t hungry for so long, I lost some weight," she continued. "I didn’t want to be obsessed with being on it long term. I was like, I bet the second I got off I’m going get starving again. I did, and my binging got so much worse."
