CINCINNATI, OHIO: During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Friday, January 19, Vivek Ramaswamy was asked about a potential job in a second Trump administration, to which he declined to specify his preferred position.

Instead, the entrepreneur noted that he wants to work for the country, be it from inside or outside the government.

Ramaswamy announced that he was leaving the GOP presidential race and endorsing Trump, after he faced lackluster turnout in the January 15 Iowa caucuses, finishing in fourth place with 7.7% votes, as per a report by The Hill.

Vivek Ramaswamy says currently his main focus is to elect Donald Trump as the next US president

During the Friday interview, Hannity asked Ramaswamy, "Let me ask you this. You supported President Trump. The president has talked about you maybe joining his administration if he's elected. Any particular job that you would want?"

The 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur replied, "So, Sean, the truth is, I'm in this for the country. There's a lot of ways to drive change in this country, inside and outside government."

He continued, "For the last few years, I've been doing it through the market. I started to strive to compete directly against Blackrock and State Street and Vanguard. That's what I was doing for the couple of years before I ran for US President for the year, running into it. And so I'm all in for the country."

"And right now, my focus is making sure that we do elect Donald Trump as the next president of the United States. It's not even about me. It's not about Trump. It's not about one man. It's about this country. So that's what I'm most focused on. And whatever it is for the country, I'm all in to do the right thing," asserted Ramaswamy.

Hannity then showered praises on him for being a complete political outsider and yet making a splash onstage in the GOP debates amid a pool of Republican stalwarts such as former Vice President Mike Pence, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, among others.

The Fox News host gave plaudits to Ramaswamy, saying, "Well, listen, you got to get a lot of credit. You ran hard. You came out of nowhere. You got a lot of attention. You made a lot of people mad, which was interesting to me."

Before concluding, he remarked on Ramaswamy's ascent, stating, "And I can sense that your passion is real. I don't think you can fake that. And it'll be interesting to see what your future is in the world of politics. Obviously, you're very young, and I'm sure we'll be talking many times in the future."

The 38-year-old entrepreneur emerged as the four prominent candidates for the Republican presidential nomination race alongside Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, and Ron DeSantis.

Meanwhile, the next destination for the GOP presidential nomination is New Hampshire, where Haley is currently trailing behind Trump by 11.4 points, according to a poll average from Decision Desk HQ/The Hill.

Internet takes a dig at Vivek Ramaswamy over unwillingness to reveal his ambitions related to Donald Trump's presumed reelection

After Ramaswamy's comments regarding his ambitions related to Trump's potential second term came to light, netizens took a subtle dig at him over his constant allegiance to the ex-POTUS.

One remarked, "Vivek wants money. He will take any position allowing him to profit from our tax dollars or simply …. take our tax dollars."

Another noted, "Just about anything offered, I suspect," and a person added, "He's not going to discuss that right now. My guess is he will be happy with whatever Trump gives him. Don't forget he's a young up and starter not a seasoned vet."

A disgruntled user wrote, "Yup , Vivek is exactly where he wanted to be , part of trump's PUPPETS. The few thousand votes Vivek had will go to trump ??? Both LOSERS."

"Caddie?" quipped someone else, hinting at Trump's love for golf.
