WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump's son, Eric, lauded his father's leadership following the signing of the Gaza peace deal and said that the POTUS has gone from "serving french fries" last year to "saving the world."

During an interview with Newsmax, Eric Trump said his father’s achievements have undergone a dramatic transformation since the 2024 presidential campaign trail, when the POTUS famously served fries at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania.

Eric Trump said during a Newsmax interview, "He’s literally saving the world. A year ago, he was serving French fries, and now he’s the commander-in-chief who just brought peace to the Middle East, stopped around eight wars, and is doing a phenomenal job."

"The entire world is proud of him. It’s amazing, when you talk about the Nobel Peace Prize, leaders from nearly every country are saying he deserves it," he added. Trump’s son also praised the global response to his father’s efforts in the region.

Trump signs historic Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal at Cairo peace summit

President Donald Trump said it "took 3,000 years" to achieve peace in the Middle East as he presided over the signing of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas at a summit in Egypt on Monday, October 13.

This could mark one of the most significant diplomatic moments in decades.

The POTUS joined Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and other world leaders to finalize what was described as a historic ceasefire deal. Trump said during the signing ceremony, pausing to address the gathered leaders and delegates, "This took 3,000 years to get to this point. Can you believe it? And it’s gonna hold up, too. It’s going to hold up."

The president also signed several documents before passing them around for other leaders, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to add their signatures. The Cairo summit, attended by several Middle Eastern and international figures, underscored Egypt’s continuing role as a key mediator in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
