Internet slams George Santos as he trolls James Comer over 'clownish' Hunter Biden hearings
QUEENS, NEW YORK: George Santos, a former Republican Congressman from New York, has recently commented on Representative James Comer's actions in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, January 13.
In his tweet, Santos criticized Rep. Comer's "clownish BS" in his committee's attempt to impeach President Joe Biden, per a report by Newsweek.

This remark was made in light of the investigation against Santos himself, by the House Ethics Committee, which found that he had used campaign funds for personal purposes, leading to his expulsion from Congress on the 1st of December.
Congressman Comer, the Republican from Kentucky and the current Chair of the House Oversight Committee presided over a hearing on Wednesday, January 10, which was met with disruptions after Hunter Biden appeared in person to provide testimony.

The House is considering a contempt of Congress resolution against the President's son due to his refusal to attend a private meeting with the committee.
What did George Santos say in his tweet?
Santos re-posted a video of Democratic Representative Jared Moskowitz of Florida replying after Comer referred to him as "the new George Santos" in a recent interview with Fox News' Laura Ingraham.
The ousted Republican wrote, "In James Comer's own words, a 'Smurf' is running circles around him! Comer is such a failure that a freshman congressman is trolling him! Comer where are the goods? You promised we'd have a slam dunk last year, where is it? Ridiculous petulant clownish BS isn't going to help you get Biden impeached, FACTS are your only way. The American people can find it faster than you can.”

Ridiculous petulant clownish Bs isn’t going to… https://t.co/VgeLGkDnIF
The term 'Smurf' alludes to a heated exchange between Moskowitz and Comer during a November hearing, during which Comer commented on Moskowitz's appearance matched with his blue suit and tie apparel.
Rep. Moskowitz in turn, employed the services of then-expelled Santos, who was making quite a splash in the personalized video app Cameo, to ridicule Congressman Comer.
During Wednesday’s hearing, Moskowitz's actions drew significant attention, as the Florida congressman was involved in several intense exchanges with her South Carolina counterpart, Rep. Nancy Mace, who was praised by Santos in his tweet, as well.

"Give the committee to Scott Perry or Nancy Mace and they'll get sh*t done in a heart beat!" Santos concluded.
House Republicans have made allegations that Joe Biden, the current US President, received financial benefits from his son's business dealings overseas.
However, they have yet to provide concrete evidence to substantiate these claims.
Despite these accusations, the Bidens have consistently denied any wrongdoing, and Democrats believe that the proceedings in Congress are politically motivated.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump, who is currently considered the front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, is facing 91 felony charges and multiple civil suits.
Trump, however, maintains that these indictments are politically motivated and denies any wrongdoing, referring to them as political "persecution."
Moreover, Hunter Biden, Joe Biden's son, is facing criminal charges of tax evasion and illegal possession of guns.
On Thursday, Biden pleaded not guilty to all charges in his federal tax case.
A tentative trial date has been set for June 20 and Hunter Biden has offered to comply with a "proper subpoena" from House Republicans after claiming that the subpoenas he initially refused are "legally invalid."
It is important to note that the allegations against Biden and Trump have not yet been proven in court.
Nevertheless, the legal proceedings against both individuals have significant political implications and could impact the upcoming 2024 US general elections in November.
Internet trolled George Santos as he went after Rep. James Comer in his Saturday tweet
People on X mocked the disgraced Republican and figured he was going after his colleagues in Congress to stay relevant, rather than to provide anything substantial to the ongoing political mudslinging.
