LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As glitzy Golden Globes afterparties raged on across Los Angeles on Sunday, January 7, recently crowned Best Actor winner Paul Giamatti celebrated his career-defining honor in a decidedly more laidback locale.

He was spotted celebrating at In-N-Out Burger, as reported by TheWrap.

After earning a Golden Globe for his performance in 'The Holdovers,' the critically acclaimed yet humbly lowkey actor bypassed the flashy fetes in favor of hitting the beloved SoCal burger chain straight from the Beverly Hilton's press room, trophy in hand.

Paul Giamatti gives heartfelt speech about teachers Golden Globe win

Giamatti earned the Golden Globe for his performance in 'The Holdovers,' in which he portrays a cranky boarding school teacher forced to remain at the school over winter break with one student.

In his acceptance speech, the 56-year-old actor gave a shout-out to teachers everywhere, noting that his whole family has a long lineage of teachers.

"Teachers are good people. Gotta respect them," Giamatti said earnestly in his speech.

"They do a good thing. It’s a tough job, so this is for teachers as well. Thanks, guys. Thank you," he added.

Giamatti also graciously thanked his fans and peers for the honor.

When speaking about his fish-smelling character in 'The Holdovers,' he quipped, "Surely this is the first time this award has been given to an actor who has played a man who smells like fish."

Paul Giamatti goes from Golden Globes to In-N-Out for double-doubles

Famished after his Globe win and drawn by the siren song of those famous double-doubles, Giamatti went directly from the Beverly Hilton's press room to the nearby In-N-Out Burger in Westwood with his Golden Globe in tow.

He was accompanied by his girlfriend Clara Wong, his manager, agent and publicist.

According to a source who spoke with Page Six, Giamatti's group ordered six of In-N-Out's classic double-doubles to celebrate his monumental win as the Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical Film

"People clapped when he came in...it was near UCLA so there were a lot of college kids," said the source.

"They respectfully waited till he was done eating, and then asked him for pictures," the source dished.

In-N-Out run completed, Giamatti later made appearances at Golden Globes afterparties hosted by his agency UTA and NBCUniversal Studios.

But stopping for those double-doubles likely took precedence after his Globe victory.
