Seth Meyers turns Marjorie Taylor Greene's awkward moment into running gag

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Seth Meyers didn't hold back in his scathing critique of Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene's recent mispronunciation on February 8  broadcast of NBC's 'Late Night'.

Meyers incorporated Greene's mispronunciation of the word 'indictable' as "in-dick-ta-ble" during a recent House meeting into a recurring joke on "Now, in fairness to Greene, it's not like the word 'indict' has been in the news at all," Meyers sarcastically remarked.

Continuing, Meyers said, "I blame Fox News for this", pointing a finger at the conservative media outlet for potentially failing to adequately inform its audience about significant developments, such as former President Trump's legal entanglements.

"Maybe if you guys talked about Trump's four indictments on air more, the GOP caucus would know how to pronounce it", he added. 

Injecting his trademark wit into the discussion, Meyers speculated about other words Greene might struggle with, jesting, "I bet Marjorie Taylor Greene also says, 'insure-erection' and 'classified dick-u-ments".

Meyers emphasized that 'the worst part to me' wasn't Greene's mispronunciation itself, as that can happen to anyone.

"It is mispronouncing a word that is so fundamental to your job," he clarified. Greene's error took place during a House meeting discussing the GOP's unsuccessful attempt to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

"It's like me coming out and saying, 'It's time for A Cluster Lake,'" Meyers joked, intentionally mispronouncing the name of his 'A Closer Look' segment.

The comedian proceeded to incorporate clips of Greene's gaffe as a recurring punchline throughout the remainder of his monologue.
