CARSON CITY, NEVADA: Former President Donald Trump slammed Nikki Haley following her loss in the Nevada primary to "none of these candidates" on Tuesday, February 6.

The 77-year-old Republican presidential frontrunner ridiculed the former South Carolina governor’s poor performance in a state where she had not campaigned.

Haley encountered no opposition in the primary, appearing on the ballot with "none of these candidates" and several candidates who had already withdrawn from the GOP presidential race, per a report from The Hill.

Trump is scheduled to participate in the state's caucuses on Thursday, February 8.

The two primary contests are split as a result of a conflict between the Nevada Republican party and the state government.

What did Donald Trump say regarding Nikki Haley’s Nevada loss

Nikki Haley, who served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration, secured slightly less than one-third of the votes in the Silver State primary.

Approximately 63 per cent of Nevada's voters, however, expressed their support for "none of these candidates," which dealt an emblematic setback to her presidential campaign.

Notably, the primary did not award any delegates.

Trump remarked in a Truth Social post early Wednesday morning, “A bad night for Nikki Haley. Losing by almost 30 points in Nevada to 'None of These Candidates.' Watch, she’ll soon claim Victory!”

Trump's tongue-in-cheek insult was referencing Haley's concession speech in the New Hampshire primary last month, during which she said that, although losing by 11 points, she had achieved a small victory by exceeding expectations.

Haley posted ambiguous statements on social media instead of acknowledging her loss in the Nevada primary as well.

The 52-year-old stated, "Even on our worst days, we are blessed to live in America," and included emojis of a blue heart and an American flag.

Haley's campaign has been focused on the forthcoming South Carolina GOP primary election, which is scheduled for February 24th.

She is relying on a victory in her home state to demonstrate her ability to challenge Trump for the GOP presidential nomination.

Despite demands for her to drop out of her campaign and endorse the former president, Haley has not shown any indication of wanting to exit the race yet, even as a general election rematch between Trump and President Joe Biden becomes increasingly likely.

According to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ average of polls, the former ambassador, who also served as the Palmetto State governor, lags Trump by around 30 points in the state.

Nationally, she trails her former boss by a significant 57 percentage points.

One X user remarked, "You literally lost to “none of these candidates”"

Another user cautioned, "If you thought the embarrassment of Nevada was bad, wait until SC if you don't drop out."

Another user said, "Drop out and go home. I’m a South Carolina Republican by the way."

One user wrote, "You just lost to “None of these candidates” in Nevada. Give it up already."

Another X user quipped, "Holy crap, finally something I can agree with you on! Now that we’ve become friends, please shut your campaign down."

Finally, this user tweeted, "Imagine losing to nobody"
