NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tomi Lahren, Fox News host, forecasted on Februry 19 that the Democratic party will bid farewell to Joe Biden prior to the 2024 election.

"Everyone seems to be worried except the Biden campaign", remarked Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany during a segment on 'Outnumbered,' citing a report from NBC's 'Today' which highlighted that the administration’s “self-assuredness” is “not shared across the broader Democratic coalition".

Concerns over Biden's age and future nomination

Lahren, a member of the panel addressing the matter, remarked that Joe Biden's reluctance to step down despite age concerns isn't uncommon.

"A lot of older individuals resist being told they're no longer capable of the job. I'm sure it's perceived as insulting,' she commented.

"However, when you hold the position of President of the United States, prioritizing the nation is paramount."

Lahren noted that Democrats harbored similar worries about Biden's age in 2020 but managed to "mask their concerns due to Covid".

"Now they’re just dropping breadcrumbs about what they’re actually going to do. I’m certainly not convinced that Joe Biden’s going to be the nominee," she speculated.

"It’s just they have to breadcrumb it slowly but surely as we head into the spring and of course the summer for their actual plan."

She anticipated that "the forces that be" would soon convey to him, "It’s time to go".

The discussion followed Ezra Klein's editorial in The New York Times, where he asserted that the party has "a better option" to the 81-year-old incumbent, along with calls from Democratic congresswoman Rashida Tlaib to vote "uncommitted" rather than for Biden in the March presidential primary.

Tlaib, of Palestinian-American descent, shared in a video that she and her community feel 'overlooked and invisible' under the current administration, which has dismissed pleas for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Jon Favreau, a former speechwriter for the Obama administration, was also brought up in the conversation.

The 'Iron Man' director expressed in a Twitter/X thread on February 17 that although he holds reservations about Biden's age, the 'huge risk to democracy' from a potential re-election of Trump carries far greater significance.

Social media abuzz with criticism and calls for action

In the light of these developments, individuals across the ideological spectrum has voiced their concerns on social media.

One individual remarked below the video posted by Fox News, "FJB - If he's Competent, Charge Him. If he's Incompetent, Impeach him!"

Another opined, "The people who would vote for Biden will vote for Harris. Don't underestimate stupidity and TDS!"

"How Biden is even considered a primary candidate for the dems is unbelievable…", voiced another.

"Stop calling that potato imposter 'president'," lashed out one user.

Others echoed similar sentiments, with one stating, "You can trash Trump all you want, but we have never seen a president EVER drag our beautiful country down to such depths of despair."

Another insisted, "Get him out of office he's a disgrace."

Yet another person added, "I thought, according to liberals, just bringing up someone's age is ageist. This isn't about age. There are people in their 80s that are sharp and mentally competent to live their lives. This clown is not one of them."
