Internet backs Ed Kelce as he slams Bethenny Frankel for take on son Travis' romance with Taylor Swift
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and pop icon Taylor Swift took their high-profile romance public last fall, they instantly became sports and entertainment's new "it" couple.
However, not everyone has been supportive of the budding relationship between the NFL tight end and the 'Anti-Hero' songstress. Reality TV personality Bethenny Frankel recently offered a critical take on the Travis-Swift pairing, questioning their longevity and ability to balance their massive fame.
The criticism didn't sit well with Travis' father Ed Kelce who fired back at Frankel on social media. His blunt reaction earned praise from fans rallying around the couple online after Frankel's unprompted digs.

Last week, while appearing in an Instagram video, Frankel offered her thoughts on the Travis-Swift relationship. "It’s hard because Taylor Swift is certainly a peacock. So they’re usually can only be one peacock in a relationship," Frankel said, suggesting the two outsize personalities could clash.

She also predicted more challenges as the relationship progresses. "When you get into real life and you get into kids and marriage and things like that... it’s not easy (and) relationships take work," Frankel commented.
Travis and Swift confirmed their romantic relationship in September 2023 after months of speculation. The two had reportedly started secretly dating over the summer. Since going public, Swift has frequently attended Chiefs games to support her boyfriend, even flying into Kansas City from international tour stops.
Most recently, Swift made a quick trip from Japan to Las Vegas to see Travis and the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. Travis flew to Australia last week to attend one of Swift’s concerts on her global 'Eras Tour'.
Upon hearing Frankel’s remarks, Ed took to Facebook to defend his son and Swift. "Who TF is this troll?" Ed wrote about Frankel in a recent post.
