PHOENIX, ARIZONA: John Eastman, former Donald Trump attorney, has turned himself in after being indicted in April for allegedly attempting to assist the ex-POTUS in overturning the 2020 election results in Arizona.

Eastman is the first of the indicted co-conspirators to turn himself in on the state charges in Maricopa County Superior Court.

Former President Trump is considered an unindicted co-conspirator in the case, according to MeidasTouch.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the Republican National Committee's top attorney for "election integrity", Christina Bobb, and former White House Chief of Staff under Trump, Mark Meadows, are also expected to turn themselves in over the next few weeks.

John Eastman says he had 'zero involvement' in any of the election litigation in Arizona

On Friday, May 17, Eastman attended his arraignment with his legal counsel after being arrested and booked.

The 64-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him and subsequently stated outside the Arizona courthouse, "These charges should've never been brought. I pled not guilty. I had zero communications with the electors in Arizona."

He asserted, "Zero involvement in any of the election litigation in Arizona or legislative hearings. I'm confident that if the law is faithfully applied I will be fully exonerated at the end of this process."

The ex-Trump attorney subsequently turned down requests from reporters for an explanation on several points pertaining to the case and left the premises.

His disbarment has been confirmed, and a stay of his suspension from the California Bar while awaiting appeal has been rejected.

Additionally, the former Trump lawyer, who faces indictment in both the federal January 6 case and the Georgia RICO case, was dismissed from his position as a law professor at two separate institutions.

Eastman is known as the mastermind behind Trump's alleged "fake elector" plan.
