MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Over the weekend, Rudy Giuliani sent out a pressing message to his supporters, claiming that President Joe Biden is determined to put him behind bars. The message also included a request for urgent fundraising to support Giuliani's legal battle.

“Friend, There’s no other way to say this… You may truly be my only hope. The Biden Regime is sending a top ally of President Trump to PRISON!” Giuliani stated in his appeal. “The Deep State is hellbent on indicting, arresting, bankrupting, and imprisoning President Trump and his top allies for daring to challenge the corrupt forces that have hijacked our once Free Republic. And as the lawyer who successfully defended President Trump from impeachment, I am at the top of their list.”

What did Rudy Giuliani’s fundraising appeal to his followers entail?

The Rudy Giuliani Freedom Fund sent out the message containing Giuliani's mugshot from the Sheriff's Office in Fulton County, Georgia. Per the New York Post, Giuliani is currently facing charges for allegedly attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia.

“I didn’t give up when my home was raided or when I was wrongfully arrested and had my MUGSHOT taken in Fulton County – and there’s no way I’m backing down now,” the email asserted.

Giuliani, once a revered figure for his bipartisan efforts in crime prevention and managing New York City through the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, has become a controversial figure in recent times.

His role as a personal attorney to former President Donald Trump has contributed to his polarizing reputation.

In August, he was indicted for election fraud in Georgia under the same racketeering laws he had famously used to bring down the Empire State mafia. Giuliani and Trump both pleaded not guilty.

However, the case hit a roadblock after it was revealed that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was having an affair with Nathan Wade, a Special Prosecutor she assigned to the case.

Wade recused himself from the case following a judge's order that one of them had to depart.

The same judge dismissed six of the most serious charges against Trump earlier this month, citing their lack of specificity.

Donald Trump won a legal victory this week when the same judge granted him the right to appeal his ruling, which allowed DA Willis to remain on the case.

Internet slams Rudy Giuliani

People on X ripped into Donald Trump’s ex-lawyer for his alleged crimes that led him to bankruptcy.

One X user remarked, “I’d contribute $50 to send Rudy to prison."

"He will be Mr. T's Cellmate at Attica," another user quipped.

Another user said, "He is sending himself to jail! He committed crimes and needs to pay for his actions!"

One user wrote, "There's law and order in America. Guiliani doesn't like it. Crooks and Criminals never do."

Another X user claimed, "No Rudy is wrong! It's Rudy who was hell bent on having his last 15 minutes of fame, the consequences of which was total financial ruin & maybe yrs in prison. He's flushed his life & reputation down the toilet, defending a slithering snake like Donald Trump!"

A user tweeted, "Biden didn’t commit the crimes Rudy did."
