Internet lauds Nikki Haley's 'normal' response to 'bizarre' MAGA conspiracy theory about Taylor Swift
WASHINGTON, DC: Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley called the MAGA conspiracy theories surrounding pop icon Taylor Swift "bizarre."
In a conversation with CNN's Jake Tapper on Thursday, February 1, the former UN Ambassador shared her shock at how the "Cruel Summer" singer and her romance with NFL star Travis Kelce "overtook" the US politics ahead of a crucial presidential election.

"Taylor Swift is allowed to have a boyfriend. Taylor Swift is a good artist. I've taken my daughter to Taylor Swift concerts before," Haley told Tapper.
"You know, to have a conspiracy theory of all of this is bizarre. Nobody knows who she's going to endorse. But I can't believe that that's overtaken our national politics."

Though Swift has been a target of right-wing attacks before, the latest one started as Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs, headed to Super Bowl LVIII.
According to MAGA conspiracy theorists, the Swift-Kelce romance is a plot staged by the NFL and Democrats to make Joe Biden win the 2024 presidential election, and the pop star will announce her endorsement to the incumbent during the halftime show to more than 100 million viewers.
As per reports, the speculation has driven Trump supporters to launch a "holy war" against the singer.
Nikki Haley states Taylor Swift's dating life should be the last thing to be worried about
The former South Carolina Governor, Trump's only opponent in the GOP presidential primary race, stated the focus should deviate from Swift's romantic encounters to the ongoing crises.
"I mean, right now, you have got 60 percent of American families living paycheck to paycheck. We have got a border that's out of control. We have got wars happening around the world," Haley pointed out.
"The last thing I really think we need to be worried about is who Taylor Swift is dating and what conspiracy theory is going to have her endorsing a person for president."
Swift, who has not yet endorsed Biden, has been under constant criticism from hardcore Trump allies and Republicans.
Former GOP presidential candidate and Trump supporter Vivek Ramaswamy was among the prominent people who sparked debate on the possibility of the pop star endorsing Biden.
The biotech entrepreneur added fuel to the fire on January 29 by posting on X," I wonder who's going to win the Super Bowl next month. And I wonder if there's a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall. Just some wild speculation over here, let's see how it ages over the next 8 months."

While Congressmen like Tim Burchett downplayed any significant impact of Swift endorsing Biden, the MAGA meltdown was mocked by TV hosts like MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, who stated, "This cannot be real."
Trump, who has cemented his position as the GOP frontrunner, will likely face Biden in the November election.
