DENVER, COLORADO: Rep Lauren Boebert reiterated her anti-immigrant rhetoric by proposing a new bill that would "inject" former President Donald Trump's immigration policies with "steroids," reported Newsweek.

The Colorado Congresswoman, seemingly dissatisfied with the measures implemented by Trump, talked about the bill titled "Build The Wall and Deport Them All Act" in a recent interview with conservative media personality Steve Bannon's 'War Room' podcast.

She introduced the bill on the GOP-controlled House floor on Friday, March 8, aiming to codify the former president's immigration policies.

The illegal migrants entering the US through its southern border are at an all-time high, with nearly 3.2 million encounters by Border Patrol and Office of Field Operations in the fiscal year 2023 alone, per US Customs and Border Protection statistics.

Furthermore, worsening border security due to record-high illegal migration has become the focal point of the 2024 presidential election, which will be a rematch between President Joe Biden and his predecessor.

Lauren Boebert's bill for mass deportation

As the Republican Congresswoman pointed out the after-effects of massive illegal immigration in various cities across the US, host Bannon inquired about the policy solution she came up with to resolve the situation.

"That's right. So, we're going to inject President Trump's policies with steroids and put them all into one," Boebert responded.

"My bill is called Build the Wall [and] Deport Them All. That's exactly what we need to do. Buses brought these illegals into our country and buses can bring them out."

Boebert, a staunch Trump ally, echoed the former president's policy of mass deportation of illegal immigrants in the event of his second presidential term.

The ex-president endorsed her congressional race last week, calling her a "trusted America First Fighter." In the November re-election race, Boebert switched her district from the current 3rd district to the 4th. However, she is facing tough competition despite swapping the seats from a crowded GOP primary.

"We need Remain in Mexico back in place. We need catch and release. We need to designate fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction because that's what it is. And we need to go after the cartel who have operational control of our southern border," she continued about the bill.

Remain In Mexico was a 2019 immigration policy implemented by Trump, forcing asylum-seeking migrants to remain in Mexico until their hearing in US immigration court. The Biden administration ended the policy in 2021.

The flow of the illicit opioid fentanyl into the US through the border is also an alarming concern after CBP's drug seizure statistics indicated the seizing of 27,000 pounds in 2023 FY and 7000 pounds since the start of 2024 FY.

Lauren Boebert slammed online

Boebert's proposal to deport illegal immigrants received intense backlash from netizens who urged the Colorado voters to oust her in November.

One user said, "Going nowhere, but We are working hard to get her out of office. She is the disgrace of Colorado."

"Actually, we are sick of you," another individual stated.

A third user added, "Counting down the days until Lauren Boebert is gone. Her congressional career is on life support and fading fast."

"No, we are sick of people like you in office. Fortunately for us, your run is coming to an end soon," someone else wrote.

A fifth person stated, "Something is wrong this girl. She needs to go home and stay there."

"Vote this brainless person out in June. You owe it to yourselves," another response read.
