NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene sounded the alarm claiming migrants are registering to vote in the upcoming presidential election using their social security number (SSN) on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, on X (formerly Twitter).

Retweeting a post that made similar claims, Greene expressed her concern for the states of Arizona, Texas, and Pennsylvania, while calling for photo identification for voters proving their citizenship.

Greene has been long vocal about the issue, having introduced legislation back in July 2023 that would require voters in Washington to provide identification in order to prevent illegal immigrants and legal noncitizens from voting in local elections.

According to the Washington Examiner, the American Confidence in Elections: District of Columbia Voter Identification Act aims to amend the Help America Vote Act of 2002. If passed, it would “establish certain photo identification requirements for voting in District of Columbia elections and to require proof of citizenship to register to vote in District of Columbia elections, and for other purposes."

Taking to X, Greene retweeted a post that read, "The number of voters registering without a photo ID is SKYROCKETING in 3 key swing states: Arizona, Texas, and Pennsylvania. Since the start of 2024: TX: 1,250,710 / PA: 580,513 / AZ: 220,731."

"HAVV allows voters to register with a Social Security Number (4 digits)," she further continued, before adding, "Illegals are not able to get licenses there. But they can get Social Security Cards (for work authorization permits)."

The US Representative of Georgia wrote in her post, "Are migrants registering to vote using SSN? We need photo ID with proof of citizenship requirements! There are Senate races in AZ, PA, and TX as well as House races and the 2024 presidential."

"AZ and PA are swing states but D’s would love to take Texas. Cruz only beat Beto by just over 200,000 votes in 2018, and Trump beat Biden in 2020 by just over 630,000 votes, but adding 1,250,710 illegal voters will flip TX blue," she continued, adding, "And Texas has 40 electoral college votes."

Marjorie Taylor Greene trolled for demanding photo identification of voters

Netizens called out Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene over her demand to get photo identification of voters done before they are allowed to vote.

"So what’s being done to stop the cheating? Enough talk, what is being done?" asked a social media user.

"To answer your question, no, they're not. Keep fear mongering tho," stated another.

"You people are so desperately dumb it's actually fascinating to watch," commented one person.

"Anger farming / engagement farming / fear mongering / But certainly not truth telling / This is 0% true, like most what she says / Disregard as misinformation," wrote another individual.

"If only there were elected officials sitting in congressional seats who were offered a bipartisan solution to address the immigration issues at the border. Oh, wait," one person wrote while mocking Greene.
