The decision, revealed in a now-deleted post on Saturday, March 9, 2024, was driven by the artist's struggles with the intense scrutiny and negativity she has faced on the platform. "Hey i'm gonna deactivate because i'm not really feeling this anymore," she wrote, expressing her disillusionment with the social media landscape.

"You guys take care of yourselves. i like coming here to find inspo and see people being creative but i just feel like this is getting to be too much," she added. 

Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, cited the "f**ked up thoughts" she has been experiencing due to the way she is "spoken to and treated" online.

The rapper implored her followers to be mindful of their words and the impact they can have. "Please watch how you talk to and about people on the internet. Bye," she wrote before deleting her account/
