Jason Kelce praises Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding privacy
Jason Kelce said the Madison Square Garden wedding was unlike any other event he had attended because of its size and the effort made to keep the occasion personal.
“I haven’t seen any legitimate photos really from the wedding. It’s remarkable,” he said.
Jason further mentioned that the ceremony was his first wedding of such scale and grandeur. “There were a thousand people inside Madison Square Garden,” he shared, adding that the guest list included A-listers like Brad Pitt, along with family and friends from his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
“I think, this is obviously an effort by Travis and Taylor to really try and make this as intimate of a moment as possible,” the 38-year-old said.
The former football player also said he respects the couple's privacy, explaining, “There’s so much interest in what those guys are doing at all times, so I think you just get used to it.”
Jason Kelce calls his daughters incredible
Although Jason did not share many details about the private wedding, he had earlier revealed that his four daughters, Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 1, served as the flower girls.
“It was a special event for our entire family, and obviously my daughters are incredible. They’re beautiful, they’re incredible personalities. And Travis and Taylor love them,” he reportedly said.
Jason also played an important role at the ceremony as Travis Kelce's best man. “So, very happy we were able to be a part of it. And more importantly, very happy for those two. It was an amazing day,” he added.
Travis Kelce got emotional during the wedding ceremony
An official statement stated, “Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man.”
The wedding was officiated by Adam Sandler. Both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce exchanged vows while wearing custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designs created by Jonathan Anderson.
It was also reported that Travis became emotional while watching his nieces walk down the aisle as flower girls.
Sports commentator Joe Buck shared, “Travis was a puddle watching his nieces come down the little ramp that they built. And then, you know, when [Swift] walked out, he was a puddle.”
