According to sources, the '13 Going on 30' actress has decided to cut off contact with Lopez as the couple navigates their dramatic split, reported OK! Magazine.

Speaking about Jennifer Garner's role, a source shared, “Jennifer tried not to take sides."
“She urged them to seek counseling and try harder to fix things,” the insider added, according to Star.
However, Garner reportedly grew uncomfortable with Lopez’s behavior, feeling manipulated and "dragged" into "Ben and JLo’s problems."
Lopez’s decision to file for divorce was reportedly influenced by a lack of commitment from Affleck to work on their marriage.
Despite the end of their marriage, Lopez continues to focus on her career, with a new film set to release soon.

Initially, Jennifer Garner encouraged her three children, Violet, 19, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, to maintain a relationship with their stepmother.

“It was an uncomfortable position to be in. JLo appealed to Jen’s gentle nature, and she’s such a nice person that she couldn’t say no," said the insider.
"But Jen just thinks it’s better to keep her distance from JLo during the divorce,” they added.

The 51-year-old actor even spent Thanksgiving with Garner and their children as he adjusts to the split.
“He’s got his own place, but he’s still at her house all the time for family dinners,” a source shared.
“She never fails to send him home with a care package of food and even reminds him to take care of his health, like seeing the doctor and taking vitamins,” the insider added.
Garner continues to be a grounding presence for Affleck as the source noted, “She’s very concerned about his well-being."
