Jennifer Garner limits contact with Jennifer Lopez after trying to fix her marriage with Ben Affleck
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Garner does not want to continue having “communications” with Jennifer Lopez months after trying to fix her marriage with Ben Affleck.
According to sources dishing out to Daily Mail, the ‘13 Going On 30’ star “no longer wishes” to be in touch with the 55-year-old popstar, unless it has anything to do with her children.
Garner, 52, shares her three children - Violet, Fin and Samuel - with her ex, Ben Affleck, who separated from Lopez in April.
While the ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer finally filed for divorce from Affleck in August after months of speculations, rumor in the block was that Garner initially tried to act as a mediator and patch things up between her ex-husband and Lopez.
However, a source shares that Garner now wants to be in contact only on a necessary basis.

“Jen no longer wishes to have communication with JLo unless it is do with the kids,” shared the source to Daily Mail on Thursday.
The ‘Elektra’ actress allegedly felt used in Lopez and Affleck’s tumultuous marriage, leading to her disenchantment with the ‘Hustlers’ star, as reported by Perez Hilton.
“Her friends feel she shouldn’t have allowed herself to get so involved in helping JLo to fix her marriage to Ben,” revealed the source, before adding, “Especially considering Jen felt pitted against JLo at times during their own marriage.”
The source further explained, “Jen is too nice and truly wanted to help, so she tried.”
However, despite the ‘Daredevil’ actress’ good intentions and efforts, the crack between the ‘Shotgun Wedding’ star and her estranged Oscar-winning husband only increased, leading to their divorce just after two years of marriage.
Moreover, reports have it that the ‘Family Switch’ star is not very conducive to Lopez continuing to hang out with her children.
Upon her marriage to the ‘Gone Girl’ star, Lopez has become close to his three children, and despite Bennifer’s separation, she continues to do so.
In recent months, Lopez was spotted hanging out with Garner and Affleck’s eldest child, Violet, who is currently in college. Even her sister, Lynda, too visited the teen on her college campus and shared pictures.
This interaction, however, did not sit well with the ‘Peppermint’ star, as she found it “odd.”
The source continued, “JLo getting close to Violet felt odd to Jen and then Lynda popping up at Violet’s school. Jen’s loyalty is to the father of her kids — Ben — and their children.”
Nevertheless, the confidant explained that Garner would not publicly say a negative word about Lopez, despite their latest equation. “Because they love JLo. But Jen would never badmouth her or speak negatively about her,” explained the source.
While she is not completely against the ‘Maid in Manhattan’ star mingling with her children, the source shared that Garner feels any communication should go through her.
“Everyone knows that if JLo wanted to spend time with her children aside from Violet, it would have to go through Jen,” shared the source.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were baffled by Violet’s viral selfie
Earlier in November, Jennifer Lopez’s sister, Lynda, shared a selfie with Jennifer Garner’s eldest daughter as she visited the teen on the Yale University campus.
However, as the selfie became viral, a source dished that Violet’s parents were left baffled by the interaction. Nevertheless, they decided to remain respectful of her choices.
"Violet has a strong attachment to JLo and her family," said a source, per Daily Mail.

They continued, "It’s quite confusing to Ben and Jen (Garner) because they do not understand why Violet is so adamant on keeping her close. She looks up to JLo and Lynda and is intent on keeping the bond alive."
"Violet said that she just reached out to her and said she wanted to come visit," the insider dished then, adding, "The first time Ben saw this photo was online. He wasn’t aware that Lynda was visiting. But Violet is an adult, and she is allowed to do as she pleases and spend time with who she wants to.”
However, Violet’s parents were not happy with the teenager sharing the selfie with the world, as the source said, "Ben and Jen feel Lynda and Violet could have spent time together and even taken a cute photo together without it going online for the world to see."
"It is unfortunate that her dad didn't work things out with JLo, but it also didn't work out with her him and her mom, and she would rather keep the peace than have any issues. Violet doesn't want to lose that bond," concluded the source.
