LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lopez is reportedly considering trying her hands at reality television after her marriage with Ben Affleck crumbled in just two years.
As per reports, the 55-year-old multi-faceted star is looking forward to reinventing her image following her divorce, and her career blow in 2024.
As reported by RadarOnline, according to a source, Lopez’s friend and reality TV mogul Kim Kardashian is urging the ‘Jenny From the Block’ hitmaker to weigh in on appearing in a reality TV show to regain her popularity.

Jennifer Lopez, who tied the knot with her Oscar winner ex in 2022, filed for divorce on the second anniversary of their marriage, after speculation surrounding their marital strife flared.
However, it was not only her marriage that suffered in 2024 but also her career, which also witnessed a dip when her passion projects - her album ‘This Is Me…Now’, the movie, ‘This is Me... Now: A Love Story', and accompanying documentary, ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told’ flopped.
The cumulative effects of the upheavals in the Bronx diva’s life resulted in a dip in her popularity, claimed the source.
They shared, "Jennifer needs people to like her if she wants any sort of chance at a comeback. Unfortunately, she's never been so unpopular.”
Citing the reason, the insider noted, “That's why she's looking to do a reality show. It would be a great way to prove she's not as nasty as everyone seems to think."
Moreover, another driving force for the ‘Hustlers’ star happens to be the fact that following her divorce, Affleck has come out of the situation "looking like the winner". Thus the insider claimed that unless Lopez did something to address the issue, her image would be forever destroyed.
"Ben has come out that breaking looking like the winner, and if she doesn't do something drastic to change that, she's always going to be branded toxic,” declared the source.
The mole further reflected on her canceling her ‘This Is Me Now’ stadium tour the past summer citing her reasons to be with her family.
However, another insider claimed that it was more the dismal ticket sales that led her to cancel the tour. They claimed, "Even though she insisted it was because she needed to spend time with her family, the ticket sales were not good and it was a huge blow to her ego."
The insider added that despite the challenging scenario that transpired last year, Lopez has one solid support, her close friend Kim Kardashian.
Kardashian, whose uber-popular reality series ‘The Kardashian’ is currently in its sixth season, is reportedly egging the ‘Maid in Manhattan’ actress to dip her toes in the reality TV genre.
Claiming that the SKIMS founder believes it is a great way to rebuild one’s image, the source noted, "Jennifer isn't afraid to take risks and think outside the box. Even though people might think reality TV is beneath her, it's a widely popular format and a great way to reach fans, and that's what matters to her."
"She clearly has no problem putting her life on display – a lot of people would say she shared way too much – so it's easy to imagine her doing a reality show and having cameras following her 24/7. She loves attention,” continued the source.
They further added, "The question is whether it will redeem her the way she wants and help her connect with a bigger, younger fan base – or leave her even more humiliated."
Kim Kardashian has become ‘source of support’ for Jennifer Lopez
As per recent reports, Kim Kardashian has purportedly taken up the job of being a “matchmaker” to Jennifer Lopez.
Speaking to In Touch Weekly, a source shared in January, “Kim has been a huge source of support for Jennifer,” before explaining, “She's really stepped up to the plate and been not only a shoulder to cry on but also a bonafide cheerleader and a stylist, too.”
The 44-year-old businesswoman has reportedly encouraged the ‘Mother’ actress to embrace a sultrier look over the past six months that has “really helped her get her confidence back".
The source shared in January, “Kim wants her to start dating and she’s nominated herself as a matchmaker. Jennifer is all for it and has agreed to let Kim set her up, on the condition that they double date.”
“It’s great for Kim because her resolution for 2025 is to play the field more herself, the fact that she can do it with Jennifer as her partner in crime is almost too good to be true,” shared the insider before adding, “Kim has always had Jennifer on a huge pedestal, she can hardly believe that they’ve become genuine friends.”
