NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: It looks like Jimmy Kimmel just delivered yet another zinger aimed at President Donald Trump - and this time, it's about First Lady Melania Trump’s absence.

On Wednesday, February 26, Kimmel took aim at Elon Musk’s latest government shake-up attempt, calling out the billionaire’s bizarre weekend stunt that had federal employees scrambling to send emails listing five things they did at work.

Trump was all for Musk’s plan, convinced it might help expose government "ghost workers".

“Maybe we’re paying people that don’t exist,” Trump mused on Wednesday. “We’re trying to figure out: Do they exist?”

Well, Kimmel wasn’t about to let that one slide.

The late-night host fired back with a brutal jab, reminding Trump that just because you can’t find someone doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

“Listen, you can’t find Melania,” Kimmel quipped. “It doesn’t mean she doesn’t exist. She’s not responding to you.”

Melania Trump's low-key return to the spotlight

Melania has been practically MIA since her husband waltzed back into the White House over a month ago. After weeks of radio silence, she finally reappeared at the Governors' Ball last weekend, marking her first public appearance since January 24, when she was last seen accompanying Donald to disaster-stricken areas in North Carolina and California.

But according to insiders, Melania’s disappearing act shouldn’t shock anyone—it’s just her way. This "should not come as a surprise because this is how she lives,” a source told People. “She will never be a traditional first lady. That isn’t who she is.”

Apparently, Melania "has been involved with moving ahead on her own projects, and recently she has been in the White House for that."

One of those projects is said to be her very own documentary. Melania is reportedly taking her talents to Amazon Prime Video, where she’s executive producing a documentary directed by Brett Ratner, with Fernando Sulichin also on board.

“Melania has been busy shooting her documentary, and that has taken place in several locations, including the White House,” a Miami political source spilled to People.

Though there’s no official release date yet, Variety reported that it’s expected to drop in the latter half of this year.

Melania Trump's actual whereabouts, plans for Be Best 2.0

It looks like Melania has been bouncing between Mar-a-Lago and the White House, but don’t expect her to be making policy moves anytime soon. “[Donald and Melania] both live at Mar-a-Lago and have quarters in the White House,” another insider explained. “But she leads her own life and joins him when appropriate in either place.”

And when she is in Palm Beach, don’t expect to see her schmoozing at the club. “She keeps to herself,” the source noted, though she does occasionally make an appearance at dinner with Trump.

One thing Melania has publicly committed to, however, is reviving her “Be Best” initiative. Originally launched in 2018 as an awareness campaign aimed at tackling online bullying and the opioid crisis, she’s looking to breathe new life into it during Trump’s second term.

In January, she told Fox & Friends that she’s determined to take it further this time around, but she’s still feeling burned by the lack of support she received the first time.

“Imagine what we could do in those years if they will rally behind me and teach the children and protect them about social media and their mental health,” she said. “It will be an exciting four years. We have a lot to do.”
