MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Jimmy Kimmel playfully suggested unconventional choices for Donald Trump's potential Vice President if he wins the 2024 election.

On the January 11 episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', the comedian, aged 56, humorously mentioned how former President Donald Trump attended a town hall in Iowa on January 10, where he was asked about his potential running mate for the 2024 election.

Trump, aged 77, responded by saying, "I can't tell you that really, I mean, I know who it's going to be."

'It was almost like a debate with himself'

Jimmy Kimmel mentioned that there were two Republican debates on television during the week. One involved Florida Governor Ron DeSantis facing off against former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, while the other solely showcased Donald Trump.

Kimmel humorously remarked, "It was almost like a debate with himself. He was master debating onstage on Fox."

According to Kimmel, Trump mentioned that he already knows who his running mate will be. Kimmel found this development intriguing, stating, "That's exciting. We could soon know who Trump supporters would try to hang during the next insurrection."

Notably, when Trump remained secretive about the identity of his chosen running mate. Kimmel playfully suggested, "I'd like to see him choose Kid Rock. Kid Rock or a pumpkin full of chicken nuggets."

Donald Trump announces 'Christie for vice president'

During the town hall in Iowa, when host Martha MacCallum requested a hint for his running mate for the 2024 election, Donald Trump stated, "We'll do another show sometime".

"Oh, sure. I will, I will", Trump continued, saying "I've already started to like [Chris] Christie better."

Trump expressed a willingness to discuss the topic further on another occasion, suggesting that Chris Christie could be a possible consideration for his running mate.

"Christie for vice president?" Martha MacCallum joked.

"I don't see it, I don't see it," responded Trump. "That would be an upset. Christie for vice president. Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like to announce, nah."

Amid speculations that Trump might consider Nikki Haley, who was also running for president, as his running mate in case she lost the 2024 presidential elections, Donald Trump Jr promptly dismissed these rumors.

Reportedly, Donald Trump Jr. expressed his strong opposition to having Nikki Haley as a running mate. He stated emphatically, "I wouldn't have her, and I would go to great lengths to make sure that doesn't happen."

Trump Jr went on to criticize Haley, accusing her of advocating for never-ending wars and labeling her a puppet of the Washington, DC establishment.

He further asserted, "She's the new favorite candidate of the billionaire class because they want control—no different than academia and Harvard and using their billions to exercise influence."

This critique comes despite Haley's previous association with the former president.
