John Krasinski's ‘exhausting process’ as director creating tension with wife Emily Blunt
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: John Krasinski is a workaholic who reportedly does not know how to rest and as per a source, this is creating issues between him and his actress wife Emily Blunt.
The insider revealed, as per Life&Style Mag, “John learned the wrong lessons from the movies that totally changed his life – the first two ‘A Quiet Place’ films that he made with Emily and which became shockingly profitable worldwide hits.”
Elaborating further, the tipster mentioned, “John was able to keep the budgets on those movies low by personally pitching in everywhere – as an actor, a writer, a producer, you name it – and of course controlling every single decision that got made on those movies, even if doing so meant a lot of sleepless nights.”
John Krasinski’s workaholic attitude creates ‘giant tension' between him and Emily Blunt
“In both cases, he was rewarded with huge financial and critical success, and he isn’t backing down one bit from that approach,” they noted.
But the 45-year-old filmmaker’s never-getting-tired-attitude has created “giant tension between him and Emily Blunt,” the source asserted.
They pointed out that, unlike her husband, the 41-year-old actress “is laid back and almost never stressed out.”
The mole continued that Blunt “puts you at ease the second she walks into a room” which is completely opposite to Krasinski’s nature who “is not that way and frankly, it’s getting worse.”
However, it has been speculated that the ‘Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan’ star may take it easy in the coming year as he’s “going to focus on acting in 2025.”
Being around John Krasinski is ‘not fun’
But it has also been said that he’s planning to direct “one more ‘A Quiet Place’ movie” with his wife of over ten years in early 2026.
‘The Devil Wears Prada’ actress “loves those movies because they please audiences and play strongly all over the world, but it’s John’s exacting and exhausting process that is challenging for everybody,” the insider claimed.
They also shared that Krasinski is “hard on himself to be sure,” as, “he’s also an exacting perfectionist about everything and he’s working himself to the brink of collapse on these films.”
“It’s not a fun energy to be around,” the mole added.
This came after earlier this year Blunt shared how her husband’s experience as a director helped her play director Jody Moreno in ‘The Fall Guy’.
She told PEOPLE, “I am married to a director, I know what it's like to hold the tempest of the movie in your head and the pressures and being pulled in a million directions.”
