INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Joni Mitchell left her fans in tears after she belted out a heartfelt performance during the Los Angeles FireAid benefit concert on Thursday, January 30.
The 81-year-old songstress became the star of the show during the FireAid benefit concert - an initiative taken to help the California residents who lost their homes in the recent Los Angeles fire - when she took to the stage to perform her song, ‘Both Sides Now’.

The Los Angeles FireAid benefit concert is the latest in the string of initiatives that have been launched to help the citizens of the fire-ravaged area.

Joni Mitchell, who made a rare public appearance during the FireAid concert, enthralled the audience with her performance of her 1969 track, per Hello!
The latest outing came a year after Mitchell received a standing ovation from the star-studded crowd at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Dressed in a brown bejeweled robe, hat, and her signature glasses, the ‘Big Yellow Taxi’ singer performed while sitting on a chair, holding her cane.
Apart from Mitchell, the concert was headlined by stars like comedian Billy Crystal, musicians Green Day who sang a duet on ‘Last Night on Earth’ with Oscar winner Billie Eilish.
The night’s performances also included Alanis Morissette singing her hits ‘Hand in My Pocket’ and ‘Thank U’, while Pink sang ‘What About Us’.
The show - split into two venues - was held at Kia Forum in Inglewood and at the Intuit Dome.
Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Stevie Nicks, Jelly Roll, Sting, and John Mayer are the other stars billed to perform at the gala.
