Jordana Brewster honors co-star Paul Walker with heart-touching tribute on actor's 11th death anniversary

SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA: 'Fast & Furious' star Jordana Brewster marked a solemn milestone on Monday, November 30, as she remembered her late co-star Paul Walker on the 11th anniversary of his untimely death.

Taking to Instagram, the 44-year-old actress shared a heartfelt message alongside a series of candid photos of Walker, offering fans a glimpse into the bond they shared during their time on set.

“I woke up so edgy today. Annoyed by EVERY. Little. Thing. Then I remembered. My stomach dropped. Someone isn’t here who should be. The one that lifted up everyone around him. The one who worked his a** off but didn’t let it show. The one with grace and humor. #11years. Miss you forever @paulwalker,” Brewster wrote.

Her touching tribute didn’t end there.

She also gave a special nod to Walker’s 26-year-old daughter, Meadow Walker, highlighting how she has carried on her father’s legacy.

“@meadowwalker is carrying on your legacy through her beauty and strength,” Brewster added.

In response, Meadow, who Walker had with ex-girlfriend Rebecca Soteros, replied with a simple yet heartfelt, “I love you ❤️,” a comment that quickly garnered nearly 3,000 likes from fans. 

Brewster’s post included a carousel of photos capturing her cherished moments with Walker.

Among them were behind-the-scenes shots from 'Fast & Furious 6', candid snaps of the cast relaxing together, and a heartwarming image of Walker holding a young Meadow in his arms.

On the other hand, Meadow also paid tribute to her father on Instagram by writing, "Easter (1999), Pops in the Bahamas, in front of your old office on the universal lot (2024), fast (2001), goofballs. 11 years without you. I miss you everyday. I love you so much."

Walker's co-star, Vin Diesel also took to Instagram on December 1 and wrote, "Eleven years today… Some bonds truly never break." The post, which has garnered more than 1.6 million likes, concluded with, “Love and miss you.”

Tragic car crash that claimed Paul Walker's life 11 years ago

Paul Walker tragically died at the age of 40 in a car crash in Santa Clarita, California, while leaving an event for his charity, Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW) on November 30, 2013.

Walker was a passenger in a cherry-red Porsche Carrera GT driven by his financial advisor, Roger Rodas, who also lost his life in the accident.

The devastating crash, which eerily echoed the high-speed street racing theme of the 'Fast & Furious' films, sent shockwaves through Hollywood and left fans heartbroken.

At that time, Walker’s publicist Ame Van Iden, and the team confirmed the news with a statement.

“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide,” the statement read.

Autopsy reports later revealed the harrowing details of the crash. Walker initially survived the impact but tragically succumbed to the flames as the car caught fire just one minute later.

Paul Walker's family continues his legacy via Paul Walker Foundation

Paul Walker's legacy continues to thrive through his family, charity work, and the countless lives he touched.

Following his tragic death, his memory lives on through his daughter Meadow and his brother Cody.

According to People, Meadow, who founded The Paul Walker Foundation in 2015, carries on his charitable spirit, often calling her late father her "guardian angel."

Meanwhile, Cody reflected in a November 2023 interview with PEOPLE on the actor's lasting impact, "I would tell him that his legacy is continuing on. I would tell him that the organization that he created, ROWW, is still alive and well and still helping people all over the world.”

Jim Torp, a friend of the actor, vividly recalled their last exchange at the Reach Out WorldWide charity event.

Speaking to ABC News, Torp shared, "‘Hey, I’ll be right back in 5 minutes.’ Those are the last words I heard."
