LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kacey Musgraves has responded to the viral reaction from the singer that sparked debate online after the 2025 Grammys.

Musgraves, who was nominated for Best Country Album for her sixth studio album 'Deeper Well', seemed far from impressed when Beyonce won the award for 'Cowboy Carter' on Sunday, February 2.

Following the moment, several videos circulated online showing Musgraves' reaction, with many speculating that she was upset over Beyonce's win. The reaction quickly fueled rumors and debates on social media, leading Musgraves' team to step in and address the situation.

However, Kacey quickly set the record straight. In a statement to E! News on February 3, Monday, a rep said, "It’s a sensationalistic false narrative meant to pit two talented female artists against each other. There was simply no scowl or expression made."

This isn’t the first time Kacey has addressed such rumors. 'The Golden Hour' singer, whose track 'The Architect' won Best Country Song at the same award show, had previously stated that she welcomed Beyonce’s presence in the country genre.

In a March 2024 interview, she said, "The more the f**king merrier. I don’t really care. It doesn’t affect what I’m doing. It doesn’t affect me. I’ve always been just doing my own thing." She added, "It's just fun to watch."

It’s also worth noting that Beyonce herself appeared genuinely shocked when her name was called in the Best Country Album category.

Taking a moment to give her acceptance speech, she remarked, "I think sometimes 'genre' is a code word to keep us in our place as artists. I just want to encourage people to do what they're passionate about."

After Kacey Musgraves' representative addressed the Beyonce shade allegations following the 'Texas Hold 'Em' singer's Best Country Album Grammy win, many social media users took to various platforms to share their thoughts.

One user wrote, "There was no shade, especially because the botox on her face wouldn't allow any expression."

The second user commented, "They recorded a song together for Cowboy Carter that didn’t make the Final Cut. If anything she was irritated bc she would have had a Grammy for being on the album in some capacity."

One commented, "Kacey didn't even say anything tho?"

A user remarked, "Kacey would never shade her. People just want drama for nothing."

A person said, "She didn't look particularly thrilled about it though lmaooo."

One user mocked, "Filled with botox, of course wouldnt be expression on her face 🤭"

A comment read, "She definitely had a stink face!😂"

A user wrote, "I think she's never want to shade Beyonce, I love kacey."
