WASHINGTON, DC: Former Vice President Kamala Harris announced on Thursday, August 21, that she will have an international tour to promote her new book that recounts her failed 2024 presidential campaign.

She made a post on X (formerly Twitter) that included a short montage of her grinning ear-to-ear on the campaign trail and announced she will kick off a 15-city tour on September 24.

Kamala Harris says her book is an account of shortest presidential campaign in modern history

Kamala Harris wrote in her post, "107 Days is my candid and personal account of the shortest presidential campaign in modern history. Over the next few months, I will travel our country to share behind-the-scenes moments, lessons learned, and how we keep moving forward together. I'll see you out there."

Harris will kick off a 15-city tour on September 24, a day after releasing her memoir '107 Days'. The X post also included a short montage of her upcoming book tour.

The former VP said she plans to share an inside peek at lessons learned on the campaign trail and ways the country can remain united and build a path "forward together."

Interestingly, Harris was nominated as the Democratic presidential nominee after former President Joe Biden ended his re-election bid on July 21, 2024, exactly 107 days before the election, following his disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Harris was initially backed by a wave of positive media coverage, as some polls showed her leading Trump.

However, those proved to be wrong, as she became the first Democratic candidate in 20 years to lose the popular vote.

Since then, she has reportedly kept a low profile and has hardly made any media appearances.

She was in the news in July for a cringey TikTok where she stated that she has not been relaxing and drinking since restricting her public appearances after losing the presidential election last November.

Her post appeared to be an attempt at the "Who Said That" trend on the platform, where users turn their faces away from the camera to obscure their mouths while making bold statements.

Moreover, last month, Harris announced in a statement that she would not seek the governorship in California, following reports that she had been considering a run for governor or a 2028 presidential bid.

She added that she was excited about working to "help elect Democrats" across the country and would be "sharing more details in the months ahead" regarding her future plans.

Internet trolls Kamala Harris after book tour announcement

Several internet users trolled Kamala Harris as she announced that she will have an international tour to promote her new book that recounts her failed 2024 presidential campaign.

A user wrote on X, "You might be the only exception to the rule: 'If you build it they will come'. No one is coming," while one added, "I was shocked to hear it would be a bus tour!"

A person also stated, "You can stay home we good," whereas one mentioned, "You wasted more money than any campaign in modern history too."

A user also wrote, "4 letters, 1 word! Stop!!!" while one commented, "Sorry I’ll have to raincheck. I’m busy that weekend."

A person also mentioned, "'Shortest presidential campaign' isnt the flex you may think it is," whereas one stated, "Never seen someone celebrating an L like that lol."
