LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kate Hudson has finally shed light on her brief and enigmatic connection with Nick Jonas.

The actress, known for her roles in 'How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days' and 'Almost Famous', addressed the rumored romance during an appearance on Andy Cohen's 'Watch What Happens Live' on July 17.

Kate Hudson reveals surprising details about past with Nick Jonas

In the mid-2010s, when Nick Jonas was freshly single after his breakup with Olivia Culpo and Hudson was not yet involved with her current fiance Danny Fujikawa, rumors of a possible relationship between them surfaced as hints came from Hudson’s family, including her brother Oliver and mother Goldie Hawn.

When questioned by Cohen about their rumored relationship, Hudson characterized it simply as "a moment."

She described Jonas as "lovely, fun, [and] kind," and humorously noted that he is "like an old man in a young man's body, and we love him."

The romance rumors were initially sparked by their appearance together at Disney World in September 2015, and they were last seen together publicly in May 2016. Jonas later spoke positively about Hudson in a February 2017 interview with Complex, praising their connection.

The Oscar-nominee, who began dating Fujikawa in late 2016, recently discussed her year-long "ban" from men on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast.

The ban, suggested by her therapist, meant she avoided flirting and dating. She explained, "I was at that pace where I was like, 'I don't want to keep repeating any patterns anymore,'" describing the period as "great."

"It was strangely empowering," she added, explaining, "Because we were going through very specific types of therapy, it was really about figuring out certain things that were happening with me."

Eventually, the ban led her to a breakthrough, as she noted, "I was so happy single, I was single for three and a half years," before declaring: "If I didn't do that, I would have never ended up with Danny."

Kate Hudson has set the record straight regarding an intriguing rumor from the set of 'Fool’s Gold'. The actress, who starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in the 2008 film, addressed speculation that she made the actor wear deodorant during production.

In her recent appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live', Hudson firmly denied the claim. “No!” she exclaimed when asked if she had anything to do with McConaughey’s deodorant use. She added, “No, he doesn’t wear deodorant. And by the way, I don’t either.”

Hudson elaborated on McConaughey’s distinctive scent, noting, “My thing was that I could smell him from, you know, a mile away because we were so close! He’s an— we’re au naturels, you know?”

This clarification was a response to earlier comments made by McConaughey, who mentioned in a Playboy interview that Hudson would occasionally offer him natural deodorant.

In addition to clearing up the deodorant confusion, Hudson also touched upon the possibility of a sequel to 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days'. “I think they’re always thinking about that,” she said, referring to ongoing discussions about the film. “All that matters would be the script and if Matthew and I were into the script. I think we’re both totally open but it just never has happened.”
