SOUTHPORT, UNITED KINGDOM: Kate Middleton and Prince William made a surprise visit to Southport, the region that witnessed the brutal murder of three children.
On July 29, a mass stabbing took place at a Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance class. The Prince and Princess of Wales both decided to visit the town in England on Thursday, October 10.

This was also Kate Middleton’s first public engagement after completing her chemotherapy treatment, almost six months after announcing her diagnosis.
Prince William and Kate Middleton also met various officials, including fire, ambulance, air ambulance, and police services at the Southport Community Centre. They heard about their experiences in responding to the tragic attack.
They also talked about its impact on their mental health. Interestingly, October 10 is also celebrated as World Mental Health Day and the royals met with mental health professionals, who have been assisting the first responders since the incident, according to People.
