LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Katie Holmes has spoken out to set the record straight about her daughter Suri Cruise's finances.

This comes after the Daily Mail published a report on Thursday, December 5, claiming that the Carnegie Mellon student became a millionaire when her trust fund from her estranged father, Tom Cruise, kicked in after she turned 18 in April.

The report also mentioned an additional trust fund from Holmes.

Katie Holmes denies reports claiming Suri Cruise has become a millionaire

In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, Katie Holmes strongly denied the reports claiming that her daughter, Suri Cruise, whom she shared with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, had become a millionaire.

The post included a screenshot of a Daily Mail article with the headline, "Suri Cruise the millionaire! Tom Cruise's trust fund has 'kicked in' and mom Katie Holmes has one for her too."

The 'Dawson's Creek' actress responded to the screenshot with a bold denial, writing, "Completely false," and added a sharp message for the publication: "Daily Mail, you can stop making stuff up." The post was accompanied by the simple caption, "Enough."

This isn’t the first time Holmes has defended her daughter from social media rumors. In fact, she has previously expressed her desire to shield Suri from negative media attention.

In April 2023, the 45-year-old shared her hopes of keeping her daughter out of the spotlight, saying, "What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her," as per People.

She went on to express her gratitude, stating, "I'm very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She's an incredible person."

Speaking about including Suri in her work, Holmes noted, "I always ask her. But both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people."

"And it's this safe, beautiful, creative space. So it comes out of love for me to include someone who I love dearly," the 'Logan Lucky' actress added.

Holmes concluded by saying of Suri, "That's how I like to work. I like to have that kind of feeling. It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she's my heart."
