NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany stated that the key to defeating Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in the upcoming general election was to interview her without a teleprompter, during her appearance on the Thursday, August 8 episode of 'Jesse Watters Primetime.'

McEnany claimed that the pressure campaign being run by former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance against Harris for not taking questions from reporters was working 'brilliantly,' before proceeding to explain how it could turn into a winning strategy.

Kayleigh McEnany slams Kamala Harris' media interactions

“They began the day with Kamala’s team telling Politico Playbook we may not do an interview until Labor Day, until after Labor Day. We’re getting out just the message we want. What is the payoff to taking questions?" the 'Outnumbered' co-host told Watters on Thursday.

"Well, the day ended with Kamala doing a gaggle, a solidified debate, and Kamala saying she may do an interview before the end of the month, which is before Labor Day. The pressure campaign is working. Keep doing it. Get this woman off the teleprompter. That is the key to winning.”

McEnany went to question the rally speeches delivered by Harris during her campaign, saying, “I listen to a left-wing commentator say, ‘She’s doing so well. She’s bringing in so much money. She was thrown into our a presidential campaign, look at what she’s done.’ Well, ask, yourself, what has she done?"

"She stood on the stage five times, delivered the same 17-minute speech off a teleprompter five times. That is all she has done. The same words. ‘I know Donald Trump’s type.’ The same words."

“They (the Harris campaign) are counting on a 17-minute stump speech to take her to Pennsylvania Avenue, give me a break," she added.

Kamala Harris overtake Trump in polls

Kayleigh McEnany's assessment comes as Kamala Harris makes considerable gains in polls against Donald Trump nationally as well as in the battleground states, reported The Guardian. A poll by FiveThirtyEight put the Democratic nominee ahead of the GOP rival by 2.1 points in its national average. In the swing states, Harris led in Michigan by two points, Pennsylvania by 1.1 point and Wisconsin by 1.8 points. Trump led in Arizona by less than half a point and in Georgia by half a point.

MAGA supporters claim Kamala Harris will not put the teleprompter away

MAGA supporters reacting to McEnany's statement over the Breitbart website claimed that Harris would never choose to give up the support of the teleprompter during her interviews. The following examples demonstrate the prevalent take.

"She has already shown she doesn't have the guts to put the teleprompter away," wrote a person.

"It'll never happen... it's like oxygen for her," shared another.

"Getting her the teleprompter is like getting Biden off of diapers. It's not going to happen," echoed a third.

"Democrats are saving Democracy by keeping their brilliant and competent candidate from speaking to the public. Policies be damned," mocked a fourth.

"There must be some geek out there that knows how to hack and shut off a teleprompter," quipped a fifth, as another added, "That should also include any ear buds feeding her what to say."

"It doesn't make any difference. People stupid enough to support this terrible, ignorant, immature woman wouldn't change their minds if she started answering questions in baby talk," expressed a seventh.
