MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Fans of 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' have been left both puzzled and concerned as their beloved host, Kelly Clarkson, has been absent from the talk show since February 28, 2025.

The mystery began when comedian Roy Wood Jr stepped in to host the show, casually announcing that he was filling in for Clarkson without providing a reason for her absence.

Filling in for Clarkson, Roy Wood Jr said, "Kelly's out for the day, but please don't worry. I'm back as guest host," before adding, " I was here about a week ago. I think they brought me back because of my resemblance to Kelly."

Since then, a rotating lineup of celebrity guest hosts has kept the show running, but they have not disclosed why the 'American Idol' alum has remained absent.

Speculations intensified when actor Simu Liu, best known for 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings', hosted the show on March 3, 2025.

While he also avoided giving a clear explanation, his words struck a chord with worried fans.

"I know this may shock many of you," Liu said, before adding, "But Kelly was not able to make it today. We're sending her our very best."

That brief but cryptic comment fueled rumors online, with fans questioning whether Clarkson might be facing health concerns or personal struggles.

In Clarkson’s absence, several big names have stepped up to host the show, including Roy Wood Jr (February 28 and March 6), Simu Liu (March 3), and Wanda Sykes (March 7).

The show’s official Instagram page also revealed the guest hosts for the following week: Brooke Shields (March 10 and 11), Willie Geist (March 12), and Molly Sims (March 13 and 14).

Despite the impressive roster of substitutes, Kelly Clarkson’s devoted fanbase continues to voice concern over her absence, hoping for answers about her well-being.

Social media users took to the comments section on the show's YouTube video to express their worry. While there hasn't been any official announcement about it yet, fans are hoping for an update soon from the show’s team. 

One viewer expressed, "Kelly doesn't owe us an explanation, but I hope all is well with her :) Simu did a great job!"

Another viewer shared, "Yea, missing her 1000th episode is insane. I can't imagine what kept her away."

One viewer pointed out, "Where is KC? Is she sick with a cold. Maybe the cold is centered in the ER throat so she needs to not talk much Babe I send you love , prayers and healthy wishes for a total recovery."

A fan asked, "Where is Kelly? Wonder if she's on vacation?"
