While neither star has confirmed the relationship, close friends are weighing in, suggesting the two would make a “super fun match", with Costner reportedly possessing many qualities Lopez is looking for in her next man.

The speculations began after the pair was spotted enjoying drinks and chatting at the bar inside the Western clothing store, Kemo Sabe, in Aspen, Colorado, in December 2024.

Both Costner and Lopez are on the mend from heartbreak. Lopez ended her two-year marriage to Ben Affleck in December 2024 while Costner and Christine Baumgartner finalized their divorce in February 2024 after an 18-year marriage.

After their respective divorces, reports have surfaced suggesting that Jennifer Lopez and Kevin Costner's friends are hoping the two might get into a relationship.

An insider shared, "Kevin has a lot of the qualities she’s looking for in her next man. He’s incredibly successful and commands a huge amount of respect in the industry."

Lopez has reportedly expressed admiration for Costner’s hit show 'Yellowstone' and even voiced regret about him leaving the series.

According to sources, Costner was "hugely flattered" by her praise, as per OK! Magazine.

“She was quick to let him know she adores 'Horizon', too, which went a long way to stroke his ego,” the insider said.

The same source added, “Timing is everything, so there’s certainly a chance these two could make a go of it. Pals on both sides think that Jennifer and Kevin would make a super fun match."

Lopez reportedly admires Costner’s passion for filmmaking, noting that he, like her, has taken significant personal and professional risks. Meanwhile, Costner is impressed by how Lopez maintains her fitness at her age, leading to more frequent conversations between them.

This comes after Jennifer Lopez and Kevin Costner were spotted together in Aspen, Colorado, on December 27, 2024, during an outing at Kemo Sabe. For Lopez, it was a fan-girl moment as she ran into the ‘Yellowstone’ star. 

The duo was seen sipping cocktails at the bar of the popular Western clothing store. Following the appearance, sources revealed that they have been "talking pretty much every day," and that plans are in place for them to have dinner together in the next few weeks when their schedules align.

While their connection is still in the early stages, the source shared, "After they hung out in Aspen he made sure to send her a huge bouquet of her favorite flowers with a little handwritten note along with a magnum of champagne." 

The insider continued, "Jennifer isn’t ready to rush into anything right now but she does seem excited about the potential, and even if they wind up just connecting as friends, it’s still a massive ego boost to have him falling all over her like this."
