LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kevin Hart, best known for his quick wit and humor, has reportedly become a "man of few words."

The comedian's sudden restraint apparently stems from his close friendship with Sean "Diddy" Combs, which is being scrutinized as the latter faces the music in the courtroom. With allegations of sex trafficking, racketeering, and other heinous acts surfacing, Hart's relationship with the music mogul is under the magnifying glass.

Tense atmosphere at Kevin Hart's company amid Diddy’s legal woes

Sean "Diddy" Combs, 54, is awaiting trial at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, New York, following charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Hart, 45 — one of Diddy's longtime friends — is now feeling the heat from being associated with the disgraced record producer.

Hart's relationship with Diddy is being picked apart and the pressure is mounting as the comedian attempts to distance himself from the ongoing investigation. For someone used to cracking jokes, the situation has put Hart in a difficult place.

Hart’s media company, HartBeat, is also feeling the strain. Founded in 2009, the company has grown into a global, multi-platform media powerhouse but insiders say there’s an air of unease among the staff of late. "This is like a pink elephant at his company," one source told the Daily Mail. "Everyone is trying hard to pretend that there is nothing going on."

"Kevin is on edge and does not say anything so it has been extremely tense," they added. "Kevin knows, as do his friends and employees, that he was close with Diddy and there is video footage of Kevin placing him at the scene of one of his parties."

Kevin Hart's controversial video and struggles on tour

One resurfaced video that is making waves places Kevin Hart squarely at one of Diddy’s infamous parties.

The footage dates back to 2010 — during the peak of Diddy’s wild party days — and shows Hart laughing and partying alongside scantily-clad women in a bathroom filled with candles. At one point, a woman’s hair catches on fire in the tub and Hart is seen laughing hysterically.

Hart’s comedic nature would normally allow him to laugh his way out of a situation, but things are different this time. "Kevin is used to creating the jokes, and now he is the brunt of the joke," said the insider.

Social media is buzzing with comments linking Hart to Diddy, and his Instagram comments section is reportedly flooded with remarks about the two men's friendship.

The scandal couldn't have come at a worse time for Hart, who is currently on the road for his 'Acting My Age' comedy tour. The looming question on everyone’s mind is whether or not Hart will address the Diddy situation during his performances.

"There is talk that he is unsure how this tour is going to play out because he knows that people want to hear him talk about this, and he won’t," the source continued. "Seeing Kevin navigate this is difficult because he is usually a man of many words and now he is a man of few words," they added.

Kevin Hart dodges questions about Diddy

Kevin Hart was recently grilled by reporters while heading to dinner with his wife Eniko at LAVO restaurant in West Hollywood. As the couple approached the venue, a Daily Mail reporter asked the comedian if he remembered seeing any of the infamous baby oil bottles found at Diddy’s parties.

Quick to deny any involvement, Hart fired back, "When I hosted for Diddy? You're asking the wrong person the wrong question." When asked about Diddy’s safety in jail, Hart again responded by saying, "Wrong person, wrong question."

As for Diddy, the charges against him are serious. A federal indictment accuses him of abusing, threatening, and coercing his victims since 2008, forcing them to fulfill unspeakable acts while protecting his reputation.

Prosecutors also allege that during raids on his Los Angeles and Miami homes, they uncovered evidence of his notorious drug-fueled parties, which he referred to as "freak offs."

The raids reportedly revealed damning evidence, including electronic devices containing images and videos from these parties, along with unmarked AR-15s, ammunition, and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil among other things. If convicted, Diddy faces life in prison.
