NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Shark Tank' co-host Kevin O'Leary shared that some politically 'agnostic' investors who donated to the Democratic Party are having 'buyer's remorse' with Vice President Kamala Harris becoming the party's presumptive nominee for the 2024 general election, during his appearance on Fox News 'Jesse Watters Primetime' on Tuesday, July 30.

The venture capitalist further drew a comparison between Harris and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and warned that the former's presidency may harm the US in a manner similar to, what he believed, befell their northern neighbor.

Kevin O'Leary's remarks on Kamala Harris

Introducing Kevin O'Leary on his show, host Jesse Watter asked his take on Kamala Harris reportedly having a staff turnover rate of 92%.

"Well, I have to ask myself is that true because that’s an extraordinary number," responded the Shark. "You’re wiping out your entire staff, obviously a problem there, but this narrative going on with Kamala Harris now is very interesting."

"I look at it from the perspective of an investor. I’m going to give you some anecdotal data from this morning you might find interesting," he continued. "When we syndicate debt for real estate projects, we don’t care if you’re a Democrat or Republican, so I deal with a lot of investors agnostic to politics and some of them are very big contributors to the Democratic Party."

"I heard for the first time today, because we like to talk about politics mostly on policy, and what he said to me was some of us are having some buyer’s remorse. We wish we’d run a process because we got so much press in the first nine days of bringing somebody into the party and raised 200 million plus. It’s like a balloon underwater. It just wasn’t Biden, so they started contributing, but we gave up five weeks of fantastic social media in guessing who really should be the candidate."

"Now, I hadn’t heard that before," pointed out O'Leary. "It’s not that many. I’d guess 20% or something like that, but so that’s starting to crack a little bit, and there is precedence for what’s going on here."

He proceeded to cite the example of Canadian leadership, saying, "I ask everybody to look north to Canada. When a young Justin Trudeau swept in, nobody cared about his executional skills or what he’d ever done or anything. They just thought he was the it guy. Look at the country now. It’s wiped out. Because it turns out the guy had no executional skills.”

"It would be important to leave aside the politics and ask what has Kamala Harris actually done, actually achieved. Because if I were hiring her, and I’m not trying to be partisan, I would ask her, ‘What was the goal, what did you achieve?’ Because any governor or any senator that we’ve put into presidential viability, they would have a history or track record of doing stuff,” he added.

MAGA supporters join Kevin O'Leary in slamming Kamala Harris

MAGA supporters on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) backed Kevin O'Leary's comments criticizing the Vice President. Many went on to share the GOP rhetoric of Kamala Harris being a 'DEI hire', as the following tweets demonstrate.

"I think the more they put her behind a microphone, the better. Her record is abysmal and unattractive. Her speeches are unbearable and incoherent. The only thing she has is DEI, and they know it," wrote a user.

"Kamala is more extreme than Joe Biden and we see where Joe Biden has got us in the last three years. America cannot take any more leftist DEI policies," stated another.

"I keep asking Kamala supporters what Kamala has done to improve America and they just complain about Trump," claimed one user.

"Her policies are trash. Her records prove it. She has nothing to offer the American people. Don't vote for somebody based off race and gender. Vote for competency. Which she has none of," shared someone else.

"Kamala is radical and incompetent. That is a very dangerous combo for leadership in this country!!" exclaimed another.

"If Kamala had to go to a real job interview today and rely on her accomplishments she would be laughed out of the office," chided yet another.
