LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Los Angeles wildfires have caused massive destruction across the county, leading around 13,000 people to evacuate their houses, which have turned to ashes. Several celebrities have taken to social media to share their emotions. In one such instance, a certain veteran Hollywood actor did not take Kim Kardashian's recent comments well.

Kardashian was called out by 'Heat' actor Danny Trejo on Wednesday, January 15, during a conversation with TMZ. He said that Kim was allegedly politicizing the disaster by bringing to light the plight of incarcerated firefighters who have been put to work battling the blaze.

Danny Trejo slams Kim Kardashian for her post

Kim Kardashian recently took to her Instagram Story and campaigned for higher wages for incarcerated firefighters battling the blazes.

She mentioned, "They get paid almost nothing, risk their lives, some have died, to prove to the community that they have changed and are now first responders. I see them as heroes."

As per Kardashian, the imprisoned firefighters have been paid a dollar an hour for the last 40 years, and a reported agreement to increase that to five dollars an hour was reportedly "shot down last minute", according to Parade.

However, Trejo, who worked as a firefighter himself when he was serving time in the 1960s, said now is not the time to get "political" during his interview with TMZ.

In a video posted by the publication, Trejo said, "Kim, worry about the people that lost everything. You still got everything. Worry about all of the people that are walking around with absolutely nothing but the clothes on their back, all right?"

He added that he felt confident, as "a convict" that "all the people in jail, they’re fine." He said after the "damn fire" is extinguished, "then we’ll figure out what to do".

Moreover, Trejo also noted that any inmates battling the fires volunteered to be firefighters, and they'll get their sentences reduced in exchange for the dangerous work—which is what they care about the most, according to TMZ.

This, however, was not taken well by people online as several social media users took to the comment section to ask the mother-of-four whether it was the right time to promote SKIMS.

She received further heat on her personal Instagram account as well, when she shared a carousel of behind-the-scene pictures from the sets of her 'Santa Baby' shoot.
