Kanye West reportedly disregards legal mediation agreement over North West
The issue arose after Kanye West released a song on X featuring their 11-year-old daughter, North West, despite previously agreeing she would not be involved.
The track, 'Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,' also featured incarcerated rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Though the upload was deleted, its copies have been downloaded and shared widely.

Kanye’s actions have led Kim to "seriously consider" filing for sole legal custody of their four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, a source told TMZ.

The insider revealed that Kim and Kanye’s divorce settlement requires them to resolve disputes through a private judge.
During a legal mediation attended by Kim’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, and Kanye’s attorney, Patrick DeCarolis, it was allegedly agreed that "North would not appear on any version of the song if released."
However, Kanye proceeded with the release and later declared in a since-deleted upload, "THE MAN MAKES THE FINAL DECISION."
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's war of texts
Following the mediation, Kanye West posted screenshots of a conversation with Kim KardashiN, where she objected to North’s inclusion in the song.
Kim argued she had control over the trademark involving their daughter’s name.

A legal notice sent to Kanye as per OK! stated, "Kim is the sole and exclusive owner of all trademarks relating to North West’s name, including North West Mark."
It added, "Ye’s use of North’s name, likeness, and trademark in connection with this recording is not only a violation of the parties' 2022 Stipulated Judgment as the parties share joint legal custody, but also an infringement under state and federal laws."

It also stated in the message, "Kim does not believe that participation in this project is in North’s best interest."

In response, West sent Kim a screenshot of the legal notice and declared, "I'm never speaking with you again."
Kim insisted she had already taken steps to prevent North’s involvement.
"I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her," she explained.
"One person has to trademark! We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids’ names and trademarks so no one else would take them," she said in the now deleted texts shared by Ye, as per MEAWW.

Kanye’s response escalated tensions. "Amend it or I’m going to war," he warned. "And neither of us will recover from the public fallout."
In a final chilling message, Kanye added, "You’re going to have to kill me."
Despite having joint legal custody, Kanye is reportedly not heavily involved in decision-making, TMZ noted. Now, Kim is "seriously considering going to court to ask a judge to strip him of joint legal custody."
