LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears has gone for a makeover after her DUI controversy.

The pop star took help from Kim Kardashian’s go-to hairstylist, Chris Appleton, to change her hair as she opted for straightened and smooth blond locks, saying goodbye to her usual more voluminous ‘do.

Chris Appleton shares his excitement as a fan of Britney Spears

Appleton posted the photo with Spears on his Instagram page, which showed the ‘Toxic’ singer rocking her new sleek hair and posing funnily beside him.

The hairstylist captioned the post as “As a kid growing up in England, Britney Spears was the soundtrack to so many moments. Never in a million years did I think I’d one day be standing behind the chair (or in this case her standing behind mine, lol) styling her hair.”

“Some moments really do come full circle. She is not only an icon, but one of the most genuinely kind and gentle souls I’ve ever met,” he added.

Appleton’s post received a comment from Kim herself. Notably, he was the stylist behind the SKIMS founder's platinum-blonde locks for her Marilyn Monroe-inspired look at the 2022 Met Gala.

Britney Spears opens up about 'emotional issue'

Meanwhile, Spears’ decision to go for a different look came days after she candidly mentioned her “emotional issue” and called this year “quite interesting” in a deleted social media update.

In a lengthy post, the 44-year-old wrote, “I have a lot of emotional issues that come up in my kitchen. I have no idea why…I guess that’s usually where we as a family all come together to celebrate, pray and cook.”

Spears also revealed in her post that she’s used to people taking her things away from her, seemingly referring to her conservatorship.

Britney Spears called herself an 'angel' during DUI arrest

The Princess of Pop’s “emotional issue” admission came after footage of her March DUI arrest was made public.

During her arrest, she reportedly called herself “angel” before the cops. She even invited them to her house over lasagna after other drivers called 911, “reporting an erratic driving person. It almost sideswiped a couple of vehicles. It’s driving at high speeds. I’m worried they’re going to crash with somebody.”

Not only that, Spears, who was found with an “empty wine glass in the cup holder between the front driver seat and passenger seat,” had even taken a dig at her own mother when confronted by officers for her reckless behavior.

“Yes, sir, I know. My mom accidentally killed a man on a bike ... but I never did that before,” she added at the time.
