Kim Porter's father opens up on her death amid Sean 'Diddy' Combs' arrest, says 'truth will come out'
COLUMBUS, GEORGIA: Kim Porter's father, Jake Porter, has opened up on rumors surrounding his daughter's death and her relationship with Sean 'Diddy' Combs following the music mogul's recent arrest in New York.
Jake, 78, told Daily Mail, "The truth will come out. It always does in the end." Porter was deeply connected to Sean 'Diddy' whom the family once regarded as her "soulmate."
There are theories that Porter's 2018 death at 47, although announced as natural due to 'lobar pneumonia', was not a complete story. The theories cite a controversial memoir titled 'Kim's Lost Words: A journey for justice, from the other side…' Besides, singer Al B Sure! has also called for investigation into Porter's death.
Jake Porter shares his thoughts on Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Cassie Ventura's claims
Kim Porter's family has regarded the relationship she had with Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Diddy and Jake supported each other during Kim's funeral in Columbus, Georgia, after her death in 2018.
Jake also held hands with Diddy at the gravesite as both men mourned Kim's loss. However, Jake has since expressed his disgust after seeing the allegations made by Cassie Ventura against Diddy.
"When I saw the video of what he did to Cassie, I was disgusted," Jake Porter said, reffering to the a 2016 surveillance video obtained by CNN in May which shows Diddy voilenty grabbing shoving, dragging and kicking his then-girlfriend Ventura who also sued Diddy.
"I don't really have much to say beyond that," he added. Still, Jake acknowledged the legal process, saying, "Everyone's innocent until proven guilty, I guess, but the truth will come out."
Kim Porter's relative reflects on her death, says 'something wasn't right'
While Jake Porter did not call for a new investigation into his daughter's death, he dismissed the previous one as "a load of c**p."
Another family member, speaking anonymously to the publication, expressed stronger feelings, saying, "If she was my daughter, I would be demanding that the investigation be re-opened."
The relative reflected on Kim's life, noting, "She was changed, something wasn't right," during her time in California with Diddy, adding, "Now I feel in my spirit he's guilty, but justice will just have to take its course."
Kim Porter's children respond to rumors
On Tuesday, September 24, Kim Porter's children with Diddy, Christian Combs, Jessie Combs, D'Lila Combs, and Quincy Brown, issued a joint statement on Instagram addressing rumors about their parents.
In their message, they acknowledged the "hurtful and false rumors" about their mother's death and confirmed, "The cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play."

They also denied claims that Kim had written a book before her death, clarifying that anyone claiming to have a manuscript was "misrepresenting themselves."
The statement ended with a heartfelt tribute, "We ask that everyone please respect our mother Kim Porter. And hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace."
