Kristin Cavallari sets record straight about 'shooting her shot' with Kevin Costner: 'We are having fun'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Kristin Cavallari, the former 'Laguna Beach' and 'Very Cavallari' star and the ex-wife of NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, has been in the headlines for several misinterpreted actions.
But on the latest episode of her podcast, 'Let’s Be Honest', Cavallari took a moment to call out the narrative being spun around her, especially the one involving Kevin Costner, as per Whisky Riff.

Kristin Cavallari slams trash headlines and Kevin Costner rumors
During the candid conversation on her podcast titled, 'Shooting My Shot with Kevin Costner,' Cavallari addressed multiple headlines that misrepresented her actions.
One particularly egregious example involved a headline that claimed “She was standing on the bar top and pouring shots down men’s throats.”
Frustrated and incredulous, she vented, “It’s so unfair. Yes every headline about me is f**king trash and people judge the f**k out of me.”
Another segment of the podcast focused on an incident that had everyone talking: the misinterpretation of a playful moment involving actor Kevin Costner.
During a question-and-answer session on Instagram late last year, a fan asked if Cavallari could date the 'Yellowstone' star.
Her playful response was, “Give him my number. Forever crush.”
While many media outlets, including E! and The Cut, latched onto this quip as evidence of Cavallari “shooting her shot” with Costner, she later clarified on her podcast that her comment was nothing more than a lighthearted remark.
Reflecting on the ensuing headlines, she admitted, “I said, ‘The weeklys don’t turn this into some bullsh*t headline, we are joking around, we are having fun. Let this stay here on Instagram.’

"And what do you know, the next day there were a thousand headlines about how I was shooting my shot with Kevin Costner, which couldn’t be further from the truth.”
Reportedly, Cavallari emphasized that Costner has always been “that guy” in her eyes.
Kristin Cavallari opens up about the misrepresentation of her image
Cavallari did not hold back in expressing how these dramatized narratives shape public perception. She explained the cumulative effect of these headlines on her image.
“Imagine you don’t follow me, you just see me in the headlines. I’m shooting my shot with Kevin Costner, but oh, I’m dating all of these athletes. I’m dancing on the bar, pouring shots. I’m talking about having another baby. I’m coming for Morgan Wallen. I’m criticizing people who don’t like my makeup routine. Oh my god. It’s so ridiculous, you guys.”
Through her words, Cavallari painted a picture of a celebrity whose real personality is distorted by overzealous media coverage.
Cavallari's life in the spotlight has never been without its share of media frenzy.
From dating former NHL player Nate Thompson and hooking up with country music star Morgan Wallen to her more controversial romance with Montana Boyz member Mark Estes, whose age difference with her raised eyebrows, her personal life has often been the fodder for gossip columns.
However, despite her familiarity with tabloid antics, the reality TV veteran expressed growing exasperation over how her words are continuously taken out of context.
