Kylie Jenner faces third workplace lawsuit as former chef alleges workload caused miscarriage
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Media personality and socialite Kylie Jenner is facing a third workplace-related lawsuit after a former private chef alleged that the working conditions she experienced while catering events for Jenner contributed to a miscarriage.
According to a complaint filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, June 22, the chef alleged she was subjected to lengthy shifts and physically demanding tasks despite informing supervisors about her high-risk pregnancy and requesting workplace accommodations.

According to the complaint, the chef began working for Jenner in November 2024 and informed her supervisors that she was three months pregnant and needed accommodations because of her high-risk pregnancy. Despite this, she alleged that she was assigned physically demanding tasks.
In December 2024, she claimed she suffered a medical emergency after being instructed to transport heavy food items across the street and uphill. The complaint alleged that she began "choking and gasping for air" and required assistance from security personnel.
Rather than receiving support, she claimed she was "reprimanded" for upsetting Jenner. The lawsuit also detailed an incident on February 1, 2025, when the chef worked a birthday party for one of Jenner's two children.
According to the filing, she was not provided "adequate support" despite repeatedly asking supervisors for assistance. The complaint stated that her requests were ignored, leaving her overwhelmed by the workload.
"Due to exhaustion and overwhelming physical strain, [she] broke down emotionally in the bathroom during the event," the lawsuit stated.
It further alleged that she experienced "extreme physical exhaustion and heaviness throughout her body as a result of the prolonged and intense workload" that evening. The complaint claimed that the following morning, the chef began hemorrhaging and drove herself to the emergency room, where she was informed that she had lost her unborn child.
After notifying supervisors about the miscarriage, she alleged she was "falsely accused" of leaving the kitchen and refrigerator in disarray following the Palm Springs event.

The complaint further alleged that on February 8, the chef was hospitalized again after hemorrhaging. She later agreed to relocate to New York but claimed her employer characterized her communication regarding her medical condition and relocation as a voluntary resignation, despite her intention to remain employed.
According to the lawsuit, the chef was informed on March 14, 2025, that she had been removed from the Jenner household assignment, with March 31, 2025, marking her final day of employment. She subsequently accused co-defendant and management firm Tri Star of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, pregnancy-related mistreatment, accommodation failures, and wage violations.
The complaint also alleged that the team emailed her a settlement offer and release agreement in May 2025. In a statement to PEOPLE, the chef's attorney, Della Shaker of Shaker Law Group, said, "Our client's decision to come forward was not made lightly."
She continued, "She hopes that sharing her experience will encourage others facing similar circumstances to know they are not alone and that the law provides protections for every employee."
Shaker also represents Angelica Vazquez, a former housekeeper who filed a lawsuit against Jenner, Tri Star Services and Maison Family Services in mid-April, as well as Juana Delgado Soto, who later filed a lawsuit alleging discrimination, harassment and wage violations.
