Lauryn 'Pumpkin' says Mama June will 'lose' another child if she doesn't repay $35K to daughter Alana
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: In the recent episode of 'Mama June: Family Crisis,' Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird warned Mama June Shannon will "lose another" child if she doesn't repay her daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson $35k.
The family continues to move on following Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell's death in December 2023 at age 29 due to adrenal cancer, as shown in Friday's episode, 'Moving Forward.'
While Anna's loved ones mourned her loss, the issue of Mama June owing Alana a significant sum of money was put on hold.

Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' hoped to discuss the $35,000 that June owed her following Anna's death and the family's return to normalcy on the July 12 episode.
In a phone call with her older sister, Alana, 18, expressed that she needed money for rent and college expenses for the upcoming academic year.
"I don't really have the money for the rent and school in the fall. Is it too soon to bring it up to Mama?" Alana asked Lauryn, per People.
June has herself entangled in a conflict involving her youngest daughter Alana after spending $35,000 of her money—which 'Honey Boo Boo' won from 'Dancing With the Stars' in 2018.
Lauryn leaped to Alana's defense immediately, telling her that "it’s been plenty of time" and that she had "a right to ask for your money back," particularly because the spending was significant.
"I think that it's been plenty of time. I think that you have a right to ask for your money back. I think that you should tell her what you told me. You have to pay for college and stuff," Lauryn replied.
She revealed in a confessional, "When Anna was sick, we all agreed as a family that all the drama that we had going on, that we were gonna push all of that to the side. But now that Anna has passed, it’s time for Alana to ask for the money back."
Lauryn 'Pumpkin' further remarked, "Honestly, if Mama doesn't give her the money back, it's gonna be stupid, because you've already lost one kid, why lose another?"
June had been given custody of Anna's daughter Kaitlyn after her death. As a result, Kaitlyn's father, Michael, served June with custody papers.
Lauryn claimed that if her mother kept denying Alana the money, it would not support June's legal defense.
Mama June Shannon faces criticism from husband Justin Stroud over Alana's money
In addition, Mama June received criticism from her husband Justin Stroud over Alana's money, who had been urging her to give it back to Alana.
However, June chose to purchase a new dishwasher and organize a trip to Panama City with her girlfriends.
Justin told the cameras, "I know my wife is blind, but does she really think that I'm blind too and don't see what's going on?"
Upon witnessing June conceal her phone from him while she was paying for a pricey AirBnb, he added, "I don’t wanna think that she's being shady, but who the hell knows anymore."
June has arranged a special trip to Panama City Beach, Florida, where she plans to scatter part of Anna's ashes and have a "surprise vow renewal" with Justin. Earlier in the episode, Anna's ashes were given to the family in various urns and crystals, per Daily Mail.
Following June's revelation that she had booked a trip to Panama Beach for the next weekend, Lauryn and her sister Jessica were taken aback by the last-minute announcement.
Lauryn stated, "Mama these days are just so out of touch with reality, it's insane," during another confessional.
"She wants to fund this entire Florida trip to go down and spread Anna's ashes, which I'm okay with, but it’s like, you must think that we forgot that you still owe Alana money."
Lauryn expressed her opinion that the trip was a bad idea, but she did hope that Alana would get the chance to speak with June about the money.
