Leighton Meester fans push her 'underappreciated' music on social media after she loses home in LA fires

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans of Leighton Meester have united to support the 'Gossip Girl' star after her family's house was destroyed in Los Angeles' Palisades Fire.

The actress’ supporters have begun to hype up her "incredibly underappreciated" pop music so that she could rebuild her house from the songs’ monetary gain, as per Page Six.

Writer and podcast host Gibson Johns took to X (formerly Twitter) to encourage fans to boost Meester's music, writing, "Can the internet also do what it did for Heidi Montag’s criminally underrated old music to Leighton Meester’s incredibly underappreciated pop music? Her house also burned down and that music deserves its time in the sun!!!"

A few days back Pratt took to Instagram to urge his fans and followers to stream and buy his wife’s 2010 album, 'Superficial', so that they could gather money and start rebuilding their home which burned down in the Los Angeles wildfires, as per Page Six.

He also requested people to "go to the post before this and watch and like that video, 'cause I’ll get up to $1,100 from TikTok if it’s one of the top ten most-liked TikToks with that song."

Flavor Flav hypes up Leighton Meester's 'Somebody to Love'

In an update, Gibson Johns shared on X that "Leighton Meester's ‘Heartstrings’ album is now charting on iTunes," attaching an article by Rolling Stone



 

After his appeal, Taylor Swift's superfan, Flavor Flav, took to TikTok singing the 'Monte Carlo' actress' 2009 song with Robin Thicke, 'Somebody to Love', while asking others to follow suit.

"Starting to hype up my girl Leighton Meester and help her family recover from the fire," read the caption of his post. 

While Meester hasn't released new music in over a decade, she is still known for tracks like 'Your Love’s a Drug', 'Heartstrings', 'A Little Bit Stronger', and 'Summer Girl'.

Gibson Johns' appeal resonated with Leighton Meester's fans, with one writing, "And might I also suggest her music from Country Strong — it hits!"

Another said, "Wait really!? Ok I’ll play it all day tomorrow!" while someone else stated, "Yes please!!! Can we all listen to her awesome tracks?"

"Alexa play Summer Girl by Leighton Meester," a fan declared. "We need to rally and get her to release her scrapped debut album!" read another comment. 

"This album is a whole entire VIBE!! I seriously loved her style here, and was hoping she would continue!" one more expressed.
