The singer died at the age of 31 in October 2024 in Argentina. Now, a press release by the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No 14 revealed that he had “alcohol concentrations of up to 2.7 grams per liter in blood at the time of death,” per People.

Alcohol and cocaine found in Liam Payne's body
According to Alcohol.org, 0.20-0.29% of alcohol in one's body leads to "confusion, feeling dazed, and disorientation".
The site also states that “sensations of pain will change, so if you fall and seriously hurt yourself, you may not notice, and you are less likely to do anything about it.”
The release shared that the One Direction member had “cocaine metabolites, methylecgonine, benzoylecgomine, cocaethylene and the medication sertraline” in his body when he died.
Besides, the release also confirmed that Braian Paiz, a waiter, gave drugs to Payne for money.
The judges concluded following Paiz’s prosecution that “the evidence gathered reveals the onerous nature of the deliveries and enables the confirmation of the prosecution ordered by the previous instance".
